Pros
Work/Life balance works well if you are working on Masters as well. Asset Manager is supportive of new ideas and technology. Work with administration, field crews, and engineers weekly. Able to use other technology besides ArcGIS such as Cityworks (asset management system), PAVER software, and Trimble GPS. Able to develop work plan with help from Asset Manager.
Cons
Career Advancement takes awhile to move up.

Customers can be nice sometimes. Employees can be nice sometimes. Building is nice. Desks are nice. The front part of the office is nice.

The salary is not worth the work that one does. It's stressful and they don't care about personal problems you have going on.

Easy job, limited supervision, but management was easy to reach in case something happened during city sporting events. Management is nice and easy to work with.

The hours can be long and they only pay minimum wage. Also, some task are very repetitive.
