    Negative Outlook

I have been working at City of Dublin, OH part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible scheduling. Great for college students or for someone who needs a second job.

    Cons

Very few hours. Do not expect to get many hours working here.

    Advice to Management

Staff needs more training and there needs to be fewer staff so everyone can work more hours if they want to.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at City of Dublin, OH part-time

    Pros

This facility expects a high caliber of skills proficiency, and does its due diligence to make sure staff is given ample opportunities to practice. Being able to trust your fellow staff to react correctly in an emergency is invaluable.

    Cons

Getting shifts covered is largely on the individual staffer, even if it is requested off well in advance. This causes massive understaffing issues at the beginning and end of the summer season, as much of the workforce (read: college students and high school kids) return to school.

I have been working at City of Dublin, OH full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great pay. Beautiful town. Stable.

    Cons

Bogged down with policy. Great emphasis put on very minute detail. Not a "real world" kind of place to work. Lots of meddling from leadership.

I worked at City of Dublin, OH part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Over the years, I primarily worked as a seasonal employee over the summer in positions including: Lifeguard, Day camp counselor, Specialty camp-Nature Camp counselor, and Guest Services. Once involved with the city, you become more aware of additional employment opportunities. I was also given opportunities to work different positions for special events that the city hosted. The city takes the training of staff seriously, but makes it fun (for my lifeguard and counselor positions). Positive experience with coworkers and management at the pool and at camp. Prideful to work for my city. Slight increase in raise per year.

    Cons

Not too much to complain about.

    Pros

Flexible work environment, excellent working conditions and the staff and equipment is well above average. Overall and easy but fulfilling place to work.

    Cons

The dublin moms are an absolute nightmare

  8. "Friendly place"

    Pros

The people are fun to work with. The management is always willing to work with you and make sure any of your needs are met. The hours are flexible and you can work anywhere from 20-40 hours a week, but they won't force you to work when you're away at school or anything like that.

    Cons

The management will not always listen to suggestions. Their hands are probably tied for the most part, but regardless, some cries will fall on deaf ears.

    Pros

Solid hourly pay. Everything needed to coach gets paid for. Such as CPR and coaching certification.

    Cons

Limited pool space to coach team well. Also limit your hours.

    Pros

    -Excellent pay and benefits
    -Quality staff and coworkers
-Good opportunities for training and development

    Cons

Suffers the same issues any city government job would. Little advancement opportunities unless the person above you leaves or gets promoted, can be overly bureaucratic.

I worked at City of Dublin, OH part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very relaxed atmosphere, get to work with children and can make great money for a summer job. Really able to have fun with the job and make patrons and fellow employees experience more enjoyable.

    Cons

My immediate supervisor was incredible but management above them was extremely condescending, provided no constructive criticism, and often reacted to problems rather than managing a solution beforehand.

    Advice to Management

Continue to make the work atmosphere fun, but provide more constructive criticism rather than glaring views.
