    I have been working at City of El Paso full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Job security is better than in private sector.

    Cons

    Zero morale. Management could not care less about employees. You will be nothing but a number. Advancement opportunities are based on nepotism and favoritism. Qualifications, merit, and seniority mean nothing. Pay raises are non-existent for personnel below senior management. Discrimination runs rampant.
