I worked at City of Richardson part-time

    Pros

Great pay, great aquatics director, lot's of opportunities to work more hours. Opportunities for bonus pay with other duties.

    Cons

Managers at specific pools are very undesirable to work with. You don't get to choose what pool you work at which means you get the short end of the stick as far as the difficulty of your job.

    Advice to Management

Advisers need to choose management who will make everyone do required duties, not just people outside their friend group.

I have been working at City of Richardson full-time

    Pros

Flexible hours, you can choose to be a full time worker or a sub worker. Essentially letting you choose however much you want to work.
Good pay, pay rates are very competitive and depending on how much you choose to work, can be lucrative.
Staff is very friendly and you can make many friends working there.

    Cons

Things that are out of the control of staff usually get blamed on the said staff. Patrons tend to disobey many things. The workday can be unbearably hot at times. Management can be lazy and do not lead by example.

I have been working at City of Richardson full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

We work on the task system when you finish your job you can leave. 4 day work week, Good benefits.

    Cons

They don't appreciate their employees, And the pay is not great for all the crap that you have to put up with.

    Advice to Management

The New Director and his lower management need to stop making the employees in solid waste feel under appreciated . Stop using scare tactics and making employees feel like they will just be let go of at the drop of a dime.
