        Flexible hours and remote work when possible; Lots of space to apply skills and experience

        Cons

        To be considered an expert in your field by senior leadership you apparently have to leave the city and become a contractor

        Look inside your organization right in front of your nose and use the expertise and incredible experience that lives in the ranks below the top of your hierarchy and familiar go-to folks

        Excellent pay and benefits, great opportunity to make a positive impact on the city, strong support for staff development

        Cons

        It takes a long time to get anything done because of the number of approvals required. Many operational items end up being decided on by upper management.

        Advice to Management

        It would be great to cut down on red tape by enabling managers to make decisions which would increase efficiency.
