I have been working at Civco full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Company focused on growth, willing to invest in areas that allow us to better compete -Lots of potential for associates to learn a new functional area, lead cross-functional projects, grow within career -Positives of a small, nimble company: visibility to executive leadership, ability to easily adapt, exposure to many areas of the business -Collaborative, open culture; casual, but professional, and fun

    Cons

-In growth mode, there are many opportunities and prioritization can be a challenge -Traditional "upward" mobility in title may not always be quick due to smaller, relatively flat organization. Growth is more often in the form of increased responsibility or transition in focus. Depends on what motivates the individual whether this is a negative or positive.

I have been working at Civco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very collaborative culture and adapting to the fast growth in a very productive manner. Tons of interesting projects ongoing and in the pipeline that keeps you on your toes. They really care for all their employees' well-being. Great organization with the leadership team that is on a growing journey with its employees.

    Cons

Not necessarily a con...but the company is transitioning from a small company into a larger organization, so there's some growing pains with org changes, but the growth is exciting.

I have been working at Civco full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

New leadership has hit the ground running. The experience she brings and the willingness to still try new things and listen to all associates has been a welcome blessing. I am so thankful to be a part of this team and know I will play a huge role in its future. A renewed focus on individual development and career planning is making a huge difference as well. The leadership truly cares about everyone in the organization.

    Cons

    Any cons have turned positive.

    I worked at Civco full-time

    Pros

Benefits are good, but that's it

    Cons

Too many managers and not enough communication with each other or staff. Everyone forwards work to each other and no one takes responsibility and just does the work. Staff are left in the dark and not given valuable info they need to know to effectively do their job. Phone system is a nightmare with dropped calls and customers orbiting in cyberspace from internet based phone system.

I have been working at Civco full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Growth market, strong support from Roper Industries while CIVCO creates and executes the sales and operations plans. Breaking down barriers between functions and building skills to work effectively cross-functionally. Technical functions have challenging projects and initiatives for all levels of experience, with opportunities to learn from experienced personnel while bringing new ideas to the workplace.

    Cons

No organization is perfect. Still trying balance risk management and control with innovation and speed. This means there are some silo'd functions, there is some bureaucracy, but the culture is evolving and recognizing the opportunities.

I worked at Civco full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Roper Technologies stock performance is the saving grace thanks to Roper's business sector diversification.

    Cons

Limited personal and monetary growth potential for 90% of CIVCO employees . Not a challenging work environment. Stagnant. Stale. Top Executives are richly rewarded; however, they are complacent and too comfortable in their roles. Executive pay does not represent actual contributions.

I worked at Civco full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

It was a paycheck. Nothing more, nothing less. If you're the type that requires occasional pandering, once a year they would rent a slushy machine for a day or two.

    Cons

Incompetent isn't a strong enough word to use when describing this company's "leadership". From supervisors that would regularly divulge private information within their department regarding other staff, manager who was allowed to hire individuals whom which they had long standing friendships with, to shift supervisors who spent the majority of time in their office on the opposite end of the building from production. The environment itself was like reliving high school while stuck in an episode of Duck Dynasty: gossip and socializing came before work, and the operation was rampant with 'cliques' that specialized in everything from defamation, project tampering, defacing of personal property, all the way to flat out lying to cover for the circle they pieced together. Favoritism was blatant to the degree of manager/supervisor teams being guilty to dereliction of responsibility, intentionally mishandling incident reports in an effort to create damage control before Human Resources could be alerted. I wasted over ten years with this company, the final two before quitting I advised acquaintances to not get involved with them. Avoid this place!

I worked at Civco full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There isn't a lot of good things to say. You get benefits.

    Cons

So much favortism. The supervisors put off their work onto others. They are trying to train people to work in other areas and it's causing nothing but problems. Major communication gaps. The people that do the actual work do not get recognized for it. Do not recommend working here!!
