    All of the employees are very kind.

    Management thinks they're a start up when they should just continue the general business, driving the company into the ground

    Pros

    Mature management team, interesting technology, innovative engineers and interesting customers

    Cons

    Consulting business does not have steady cash flow, however working in Government space I found it more stable than typical small consulting company.

    Advice to Management

    CRG has the engineering down cold -- get a real good sales manager who has deep contacts in government space and can keep the pipeline filled.

    I have been working at Civic Resource Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Making great traction from a product & platform perspective...it data management platform capabilities are off the chart and its AR Mobile platform is changing the landscape in urban mobility & asset management. Its already in 4 major DMAs (SEA, SD, SF, LA) and continuing to expand.

    Cons

    More municipalities should be leveraging their tech to enable cost effective, digital solutions for their citizens and public workers

    Pros

    Honestly, I can't think of anything good to say about this company.

    Cons

    Didn't pay employees on time or at all. Expected contractors to work over eight hours a day without paying them overtime. Completely mismanaged and unprofessional.

    not much i can think of - other than some of the employees worked very hard (w/out any recognition)

    Cons

    1. overpromised to clients and did not deliver
    2. waste client money
    3. management team can't lead
    4. terrible work culture
    5. no work life balance
    6. bad benefits
    7. no opportunities for growth and development
    8. leadership does not care for the people
    9. would never trust the leadership
    10. work products fail to deliver

    give up.

    Pros

    commendable "mission statement;" valuable learning experience; some of the greatest people in the world on staff; okay health benefits for full-time employees

    Cons

    employees get nothing but empty promises and SHADE from senior management; company culture is non-existent; business strategy changes weekly

    employees are still people. they deserve to be treated as such.

    What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger?

    The leadership team throws out buzzwords like they're on fire-sale: augmented reality, smart cities, dynamic data, internet of things, so on and so forth. As a technical lead, to date, I cannot testify to seeing any software/product remotely close to what is touted in this company's marketing. Hard to tell if people on staff are stupid enough to genuinely believe leadership's bold-faces lies or if they just stopped caring.

    Confused? So am I. I haven't the faintest of ideas what they're selling or marketing here. Anyone halfway technical could see right through this vomit of words and nonsense.

    Pay sucks, benefits suck. If you're a contractor, expect constant arguments with the penny-pinching COO for billed hours, missed pay, reimbursements for travel etc...

    Advice to Management

    Stop.

    I have been working at Civic Resource Group full-time

    Pros

    The downtown LA production team is very skilled and resourceful and everyone works well together. The office is only two bllocks from the train and CRG reimburses parking expenses (eventually). Most people work hard and want the company to succeed.

    Cons

    Bad executive leadership. The other negative reviews here are true. The 5 star reviews are obviously fake to increase the overall rating. The CEO makes bad business decisions and has a very narrow understanding of technology. Big talk with no substance. Dr. Curtin seems more interested in coming up with excuses and instead of solving his company's problems.

    The CTO and almost all of the engineering team are not in LA. Most are overseas somewhere. Its a huge team of contractors and remote staff with no one managing them. Easy website projects are years late because CTO ignores them or his staff doesn't know how to build them. Alot of money spent and time wasted redoing code over and over again, and work promised to customers never gets done. Engineering has a long history of problems, but executives don't do anything abouut it and seem to be in denial.

    More lay-offs (not technical staff) and more missed pay days, even though the executives keep saying theres investor money. CRG seems to be holding on by a thread with no plan to bail it out and everybody is always in crisis mode.

    Advice to Management

    Executive team: make smarter decisions and stop making promises you can't keep. Hire a new CTO and engineering team. Listen to your staff and be better leaders or you won't have a company anymore.

    Pros

    Intellectually interesting and rewarding place of work - company, its product line, and the market itself. My co-workers are nice highly educated people. Management team is inspiring, helpful and caring. I learn a lot in this progressive company and clearly see my career path here.

    Cons

    Some people find that it's hard to work in the rapidly growing and highly competitive market.
