Pay and benefits, working with the airlines and travelers, and sometimes scheduling (IT is one of the few 24/7 departments)
Cons
Stagnant employees who relay on their longevity and seniority, and won’t do a thing. Management doesn’t do anything to fix it, and they will do anything to make sure they get their yearly bonuses even if it’s at the expense of the employees. The Union is a complete joke, they propose and enact ideas that harm the employees. The system of discipline is broken, and nobody is held accountable. 2/3 of the managers and department heads would have been fired years ago in the private sector. There is a lot of back door buddy buddy perks you can get it you’re their “yes man”

Hourly Pay is great, work/life balance as an hourly employee is nice, some departments get every other Friday off, 4% wage increase annually, 2% COLA increase annually also.
Cons
depending on your department the work can become a bit repetitive, traffic in and out can sometimes be jammed, not many work from home options available.
