must work a set minimum number of days each month, sometimes (depending on student behavior) can be stressful, sometimes it is hard to maintain a full schedule depending on job demand for that day

Serving students and helping them succeed in the classroom through information technology. New Superintendent of Schools Jesus Jara succeeded Pat Skorkowsky as District CEO; too soon to tell if Jara will make a difference or maintain the status quo.
Cons
Low wages with no raises/COLAs, poor and ineffective support staff union (ESEA-NEA), poor morale. Department heads/adminstrators take advantage of generic job titles to take advantage of employees by having people work above/beyond their classifications without fair and commensurable compensation. Training/growth opportunities are slim to none, and favortism is rampant.

-Most are genuinely friendly people that want to make a difference -For the most part, it's a stable job/paycheck with good work/life balance
Cons
-No room for growth unless you want to be a school administrator -Shockingly low pay, even with advanced degrees -Terrible health insurance - the worst I've ever had -Understaffed/underresourced -Awful people seem to keep their jobs/just get moved around -Pay raise freezes -Constant budget cuts
