Pros
Pay is adequate and raises are more common than not. An average annual raise is about 3%. The firm offers reimbursement of professional necessities such as networking events and CPE.
Cons
There is a diseased corporate culture. Despite spending 7 figures on a consultant to improve the culture, the problem has not been fixed. The tone at the top is pure greed; therefore, employees are only valued as cogs in the machine. There is no human element to the culture. If you produce bucks, great. If you don't, the shareholders do not care 'why'. Your family and your health are not the firm's priority. The only priority in life is the firm.

Pros
Clearly identified career path. Great work life balance.
Cons
Columbus office dynamic does not represent rest of firm with the merger of Fentress' Affordable Housing Group, they out-numbered the CSH legacy personnel, making it very difficult for the CSH culture to survive the merger.

Pros
Nothing like big 4 or public accounting stereotype. It’s all about you, and your family. It’s great culture and everyone is very friendly. Hours are great. Flexibility and benefits are great. Expectations are very reasonable. The firm is growing like crazy and it is handing out opportunities.
Cons
None. I enjoy it here and I have been here for 10 years. Toledo office has a great positive culture.

Pros
Employees are empowered to do their jobs. Colleagues are helpful and the culture is one I have found to be a great fit.
Cons
The workload is heavy at times, but other times of the year make up for it.

Pros
Public accounting is stressful enough. The culture and people here make it worthwhile. How successful you are depends on your effort. Staff from all levels are encouraged to take on responsibility and make decisions. Definitely a plus for individual development. Flexibility here is understood. Management gets that people are adults and can get their work done.
Cons
Annual increases for salary could be better. But money isn’t everything.
