    Pros

Easy work environment on weekdays, no pressure.

    Cons

Weekends were trying, and theft was rampant at the mall I worked at. Customers were truly unruly and were diffucult to deal with.

    Advice to Management

Hire younger associates to get work done more efficiently.

I have been working at Clarks full-time

    Pros

There are very few ...maybe the benefits.

    Cons

Per level managers have been brought in from Tmobile and Brookstone these guys have no idea what they are doing, they want you to stand in front of your store and act goofy to bring customers in the store??? Really I mean seriously We all know retail traffic is down but that is a shameful thing,we all hate the kiosk merchants that try to have us put on lotion but you really want us to dance around outside with a shoe? If you are being interviewed make sure you ask what the percentage of returns are.....that makes our brakes your business and there are no excuses!
    overall very poor poor outlook!!

    Advice to Management

Get some new people in the office.

I have been working at Clarks full-time

    Pros

Free pair of shoes a year. Good co workers.

    Cons

New upper management has destroyed what used to be a very respectable corporate culture, has pushed out most of the most experienced employees, and has cut pay by 15%. POS systems are woefully out of date and are down several times a month. Management also talks down and blames staff when their policies fail.

    Advice to Management

There is a reason why your old companies are now bankrupt. Removing a successful culture and replacing it with a generic, failing retail culture is not a recipe for success.

I worked at Clarks part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The benefits, having 2 free pairs of shoes and the company pays well too.
Also the team was lovely to work with.

    Cons

The managers just expect too much from you straight away, they set you high targets to reach and if you don't reach them your constantly getting pulled aside or into the office and questioned.
The job wasn't about the customers at all as the team leaders made out in the interview , being a Sales Assistant at Clarks was more about how much money the company needs to be making.
So you had to be quite forceful towards customers.
