Pros
Good place to work with helpful staff
Cons
Pricing is an issue and will probably always be.

Pros
Good remote work for younger entry level
Cons
entry level position not a fit for mid-life workers

Pros
Decent group of people in the office, lots of knowledgable vets from the Barnes merger. Lots of lo als too so its not an odd mix of northerners. Most of the workers are pretty engaging on a personal level
Cons
Sales is over paid in every area for very little personal effort in their record keeping and omputer work, bad habits run abound. Managers support this on both ends. Very little interoffice support for internal/external people being allowed to bully and break rules at the expense of other office employees. Managers are nice but not as title-free as fhey claim to be. The recent survey results were relayed a bit different than the staff felt they would have read.

Pros
Good out-of-college position to have, really shows you what sales can be. Lots of free time when you're starting out, but that quickly goes away once you establish your territory and build accounts. Great management and great vision for the future. CEO definitely knows what's going on and appreciates all his employees.
Cons
Very little training other than ride-alongs. Sales training could definitely use some tuning. Two weeks is not enough. Hard to wrap your mind around all the products being offered to the customers and unless you have experience working in a repair shop, you likely won't know much going in.

Pros
You dictate your work schedule and your success. You get out what you put in to the job. Decent pay and opportunity for advancement.
Cons
Must be good at networking internally and handeling challenging people. You work with them everyday and closely. Lots of change is happening within the company, for the better, but it is handeled poorly and rolled out terribly.

Pros
- Medical Benefits - Backed by MSC industrial - Autonomy
Cons
- Micromanagers - Low pay- Pay you dirt cheap- work at IN N OUT pays more - Splitting of Territory - VERY SEGREGATED- Although own by MSC, but not treated the same. Pay lower, not same benefit, and restricted on accounts that we are able to touch.

Pros
This job provides a lot of autonomy. You are in control of your territory schedule to accommodate the client's needs and your life schedule. If you are meeting or obtaining your sales goals, unless you are established can seem unrealistic for new territories and new hires.
Cons
Management turnover is high; I had three District Managers in the first 5 months of my employment. Upper management is very disconnected from what takes place in the field and sets unrealistic quotas. Favoritism shown to top reps, at least in the district I was in. You are responsible for VMI orders, restocking, PO tracking (to make sure you get paid), inventory tracking and re-allocation from other distribution centers, managing out of stock issues internally and with clients....too many hats to wear when you are hired to be a salesman.

Pros
When Class C Solutions (MSC Direct) bought Barnes Distribution, it was the smoothest experience I ever experienced. The leadership was patient and understanding. They all handled every situation very well even under much stress. I must accomodate CCS's leadership on their wonderful job. They should write a book on how company takeovers are done.
Cons
No cons at this time.

Pros
Ability to make what you want on how much time you put in. I'm lucky to be in a region that has a great district manager. Great outlook now part of MSC
Cons
Many changes most undefined. Sometime you can feel left out on an island with no comunication

Pros
Freedom, you make your own schedule. You are your own boss essentially. Easy to get started. Gas stipend, wish they offered company vehicles.
Cons
There is a lot of driving from account to account. Fairly large territory to cover. No company vehicle. Not great communication and help from superior/boss.
