I worked at Classic Media as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Big Name for your resume, some perks. Getting to see some cool cartoon related work before being released to the public.

    Cons

Pretty much everything, very rude people with the attitude of work should never stop. Very cramped office. About 40 people sitting in a single room

    Advice to Management

To treat you employees like they are real people and not just cash cows for you. To lighten up the work environment so that people feel free to speak with one another.

I worked at Classic Media full-time

    Pros

Due to ownership of many brands projects were diverse. Small team so many touch points on projects and easy to voice ideas.

    Cons

Cramped office. Company always looking to get flipped. Employees didn't always feel appreciated.

    Advice to Management

NA - Company has since been sold to Dreamworks.

I worked at Classic Media full-time

    Pros

You can work there for years because no one notices. Bonuses were good, though they may do away with them. There's really no HR department anymore, just a spy from DreamWorks (their new owners). So ascension can happen rapidly through sheer laziness of the managers who don't want to interview new people.

    Cons

Really small office and everyone is packed like sardines. Company culture is non-existent so how much you enjoy your time there really depends on your team and your manager. Co-CEOs rarely speak to the company so feel blessed if they even look at you more than once a year.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like people and not sheeple.

    Pros

Every one wears many hats, which offers visibility cross-department and ability to participate in many roles

    Cons

Long hours, competitive colleagues, and ongoing unease regarding mergers and acquisitions noise

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring good people, willing to support one another and weather ups and downs

    Pros

Though not without its pressures and the usual corporate shenanigans, this is a fun and inspiring place to work. A lot of respect and communication between co-workers, people willing to listen and entertain new ideas, and high level of creativity. A very positive atmosphere--even if some people don't recognize how good it is until they go someplace else! Proud to have it on my résumé, and miss the atmosphere and corporate culture.

    Cons

I understand a little chaos was introduced with management changes, but it seems to be stablizing and getting back on track.

    Advice to Management

Keep encouraging creative particpation at all levels; even the non-creatives there seem to have great ideas.
