    Pros

They are a great company to work for. You can work autonomously and the management team is really supportive.

    Cons

You have to want to work hard. If you don't want to work hard you cannot work at this company.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Classic Party Rentals full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

fast moving place with job diversity and new projects happening all the time. never a dull moment. solid pay and advancement

    Cons

long hours and stressful situations. communication is always a challenge internally and externally with clients. very demanding and have to have a calm attitude.

    Advice to Management

focus in training and implementing new process for inventory management, labor in field and logistics. be more transparent with employees and provide them a path to success.

I worked at Classic Party Rentals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Liked meeting with new customers and working with them.

    Cons

Senior Management shows obvious favoritism in the sales team. It seems like it is not about potential skill and sales numbers, but who is favored. There was really no opportunity for development if you are not one of the favored employees.

    Advice to Management

Need to create a more positive working environment if you want to keep good employees

    Pros

We are in the same boat

    Cons

They dont pay attention to customers

    Advice to Management

Classic is broken into little pieces and you can not fix it because you have no money, no accountability, no care for your employees, nobody has a voice except the over paid upper management. It is a matter of time before Classic goes Bankrupt and even then you will once again screw your vendors that barely want to work with us to begin with. You ruin alliances and give no credit to your sales consultants. SOR a waste of time and your leaders are crooked. You lie about our bonus structures and the inventory is old and worthless. Good luck with your sinking ship

I worked at Classic Party Rentals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is some good people who work here and legitimately try to please customers and do their jobs correctly.

    Cons

If you are a contract employee, prepare to work like a dog. Expect 6 days a week 10 hours a day minimum as they won't have to pay you overtime. If you are hourly, expect poor hours during slow time (this is a seasonal job) and long hours during peak flow. Your time is watched like a hawk, so don't be a minute late on your lunches or you'll get paperwork. Poor morale in the warehouse.

    Advice to Management

I have none, they are beyond redemption

    Pros

    Can't really think of any

    Cons

Management is all over the board here. They do not care about their employees and tend to keep them in the dark about a lot of issues within the company. They make promises they do not keep, like salary and commission structures. A lot of catty/ talking behind each others back within management as well. Not a stable environment.

    Advice to Management

Stop shouting "Good Bucket!!" in the office while we are all on the phones

I worked at Classic Party Rentals (More than a year)

    Pros

the heart of this organization is in the branches. Hard working, dedicated staff who have a terrific sense of the importance of the customer relationship.
Sadly, the leadership was il placed. Had the right leadership been put against this company restructure they would not have lost all the real talent.
A true testimony that not all about a business comes from spreadsheets and a bank statement.

    Cons

As stated, PE backed companies need to ensure they truly know WHAT makes a business like this niche category work.

    Advice to Management

Hopefully now, with the CEO gone, someone will be smart enough to recognize what it will take to run a relationship based business.

    Pros

The pay was ok and they had events for employees. As an outside sales rep you have a lot of opportunity to grow and make a lot of money. For the inside sales rep you sit at a desk and answer to demands.

    Cons

They do not care about their employees only hitting numbers. You will sit at a desk all day while management only caters to outside sales rep. Very unfulfilling.

    Advice to Management

Care for your employees and live up to what you say your values are.

I worked at Classic Party Rentals (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the people were great to work and talk with. Chance to travel the country and visit places I never have been before Every day was a little different which made me feel less bored at work.

    Cons

Back when I started it was a great place to work with coworkers that were nice and helped each other out. All of that has changed over time I worked there. In 2014, they filed for Chapter 11 and sold the company. It almost feels like the culture of the company has changed to a point that this management group is just building it up again so they can eventually sell the company again and make some money.
Long hours sometimes to cover up for mistakes your coworkers make or having them dump work on you because they are too lazy to do it. When you try to teach coworkers that don't know how to do something, they don't bother to learn it and ask you the same questions again so you end up doing it for them.
Executives and managers try to make you out to be the bad guy by telling you to enforce certain rules. When those rules are enforced and they go to the execs, the execs go ahead and break the rules they asked you to enforce making you seem like the bad guy who denied them the request.
No 401k matching if that matters to you. They say they are working on it but during my time there, it never happened. So don't believe them when they say they are working on it.
Lastly and this runs rampant through any of the departments in the company. Not just my own since I have observed this. When you are friends with your manager or just kiss up a lot to them, you will get free passes for making mistakes, not doing your work or not having to do jobs that no one wants to do.

    Advice to Management

Take a step back and look at your employees and how they work. Notice and recognize who is doing good work and who is just making mistakes and dumping it on others to waste their time fixing. There is a reason why people are leaving. You have to figure out why and fix it
