    I worked for Classic from 2015-17 and really enjoyed the work and my co-workers. In that time I earned a couple reward trips to some of our luxury properties in Mexico, got to take a work trip to the Dominican Republic, and won a Rookie of the Year award which also came with a trip to a 5 star resort in.     The pay structure has changed a few times since 2015, but hopefully their newest system will stick around for a while. There were times that I was not able to afford my rent despite being a top seller, but at the time I was in their main office in San Jose, which does have some of the highest living costs in the world.     Advice to Management

    Please hold seasoned agents to the same standard you do new agents. They should be held to the same standard for their monitors as new agents are, and shouldn't be allowed to get away with creating new, incomplete bookings in their name just to get the credit

    I worked at Classic Vacations full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    If you love travel, this is a phenomenal place to work for. You learn so much. My colleagues and management staff made it easy to communicate and work with. Great benefits.

    Cons

    Pay structure is not fair, for all the work that you do on a daily bases. Yes it sales, but not worth the hourly rate if you don’t meet your sales goal. This is not hard sales, just the luck of the draw. Things consistently changing with short notice.

    Advice to Management

    Acknowledge your employees hard work. Update system, has too many errors and makes it hard to do your job.

    Lack of flexibility for time off. This is not a Classic Con ... just being a call center format, which is what we are. Just set your expectation.

    Keep innovating like you have been! This is a constantly fluid industry and change is a constant. Recognize and reward talent to improve employee retention.

      I have worked at Classic for many years. I work with some of the greatest people in the industry from my colleagues to our travel agent partners and our vendors. The Staff at Classic Vacations, truly believe in this business and everyday execute our values of Build, Deliver, Win and Care.

      I don't have any Cons. When I have an issues, I speak to my manager and find a solution that works for everyone.

      Pros

      I have been working for Classic Vacations 6 months now and have really learned so much about travel. Working for Classic Vacations, I can honestly say that I look forward to working and assisting our customers daily.

      Cons

      Not able to work closely with my colleagues because they work day and I work overnights.

      I have been working at Classic Vacations full-time for more than 20 years

      Pros

      I love Classic. I have been here for 11 years and have worked in the reservations department and customer service department while helping other departments with projects such as concierge, PD and docs department. I have worked in the SJ office, as a remote and currently in the LV office. Over the years i have learn any things about the company and about travel in general. I love everything about Classic.

      Cons

      only con i have its when i worked remote it was a little hard to communicate when team as they worked different hours.

      Advice to Management

      always keep your team involved so they know what is happening and not left in the dark. When you care about your team, it makes all the difference in the world!

      I worked at Classic Vacations full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

      Not much except for travel benefits, decent coworkers, and seasons social events.

      Cons

      Too much to list. Avoid if possible. Lots of turnover which is a red flag

      Advice to Management

      Invest in better software systems and data warehousing systems. Invest in your staff and develop a premier platform for them work up.
