I have been working at Clayton Homes full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The pay is crazy good. You get a $20,000 base salary and then earn commissions and yes you start out at a lower commission rate but they ramp you up the more you sale and if you are consistent you can make over a $100,000 a year easy and in some areas double that. Then they do contest all the time and top performers can earn a once a year trip that is always top of the line spare no expense vacation and they even give you some spending cash to boot. And they promote from within and there is all kind of opportunity for moving up. And great vacation time and crazy good benefits.

    Cons

If you are good and have a lot of deals working it can be a challenge to keep on top of all of them and get them to the finish line. But there is challenges in all jobs.

    Advice to Management

I would just say help your salespeople don't get afraid to talk to the customer just because you are in management.

I have been working at Clayton Homes full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Can make a lot of money, some product lines are great, flexible with Dr appts, closed on Sundays and major holidays

    Cons

Some product lines are horrible, nps is a joke, insurance is terrible, retail gets treated like red headed step children, manager is absent all the time but upper management is too far away to know.

    Advice to Management

Drop in on sales centers more. Don't believe it when managers say they are out doing "lot visits" when they are really at the local bar or in bed watching netflix. Get better insurance. Don't forget the sales people are selling from 830am-7pm and we don't have the luxury of an onsite gym. They gym reimbursement is a hassle, no weight loss coverage, no nutritionist coverage, stop wasting the money WE make for this company on unnecessary things and give us what we need.
