      I Love the Environment!

      Pros

Fast-paced environmentally friendly company trying to convince large fuel users that there is a clean, domestic alternative fuel available for much of their fleet. Good vehicles are being made by several small vehicle manufacturers-- with the same (or better) requirements that the Big Three would have to comply with. A sale or conversion is a slow process...but fulfilling when accomplished!

      Cons

As the fuel provider, Clean Energy depends on vehicle variety and reliabilty...as well as convincing fleet departments (many of which come from an "Old School" mentality that diesel engines are the only way to drive their fleet)-- The sales process is upwards to one year and must have the buy in of several departments as well as be lined up with the next budget and fleet buy. This slow process is excruciating.

      Toxic, highly politicized organization

      Pros

The business plan of the company was essentially a good idea, use a cleaner/cheaper fuel that is sourced in north America. Good pay relative to competitors.

      Cons

Unfortunately the company's leadership is amongst the most challenged in the country, in 35 years of work experience, I've never seen a worse company culture. The people who rise to the top are either socially or politically connected to the executive team. This has led to a company that has lost most of it's growth. Avoid employment with Clean Energy Fuels unless you are desperate for a job.

      Pros

Clean Energy has very respectable goals and is pushing hard to move the country towards natural gas fueling. The company offers a great opportunity to get into that field.

      Cons

There seems to be a lot of finger pointing between a lot of the departments. Also, requiring business casual clothes all the time tends to get a bit suffocating. Allowing a little bit more casual dress (even just polos) would make working there a bit more bearable.
