    Pros

Get experience and training paid for, time to relax at some points, perfect to build resume, learn the industry and lingo within the field.

    Cons

Unrealistic goals, management is completely unorganized, pay is low for how much you are expected to do, drivers are expect to be chemists and visa versa..

    Pros

    Interesting work never the same

    Cons

Micro managed by corporate over safety to the point of paranoia!

    Advice to Management

Don't step over $5.00 to pick up a $1.00. Sometimes a small raise to employees is a pat on the back. It stops turn over rates and maintains great help. Saves the company $$ in the long run.

I have been working at Clean Harbors full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexibility in the manner in which you complete tasks exists; Wellness incentives; Great team effort put forth by most; Management will offer support, if you drive home the importance of it; In general, people try to get along and make things work for all; Benefits package is ok, far from great. Safety is emphasized greatly, in some respect.

    Cons

Management should be more supportive without one having to push so hard for it; As a team, we should work more efficiently, there are way too many people trying to "milk" the company for overtime or just avoid doing their fair share of work; 401k plan is more like an employee driven savings acct (w no company match); health care is constantly rising, people are going around sick in effort to avoid going into debt for medical care; annual raises and bonus incentives are non-existent for hourly workers; low morale by most, due to loss of or increase in costs of, so many benefits & anxiety about the future (stability) of jobs; Safety is borderline compromised, at times, for the sake of productivity....at no time should One's safety take a backseat to productivity.

    Advice to Management

Even though times are difficult, treat your employees like they matter. Most people can accept a little tightening of the belt, as long as they feel respected in and during the process. Stop telling lies and attempting to manipulate every situation. Do not minimize or boost the costs of everything I'm accustomed to and ask me to cut corners or perform tasks that I don't feel safe in completing.
