I worked at Clear Channel as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I interned at this company while I was still in college and I learned more here than I did at school! The people are all extremely helpful and friendly and willing to work with you and teach you the ways of the business.

    Cons

Because this company is in the entertainment industry, it can get very hectic and it can be difficult for everyone to stay on the same page.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and maybe try to focus more on organizing events and fundraisers!

I worked at Clear Channel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Well respected in the business community. Autonomy given by corporate to local management.

    Cons

Lots of initiatives happening at the same time. At times can be construed as trial and error busy work and the initiative of the month.

    Advice to Management

Support the existing staff with raises, especially those who are handling multiple duties.

I worked at Clear Channel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun concerts, met lots of my rock idols and many interesting people.

    Cons

Too many hours and too little money. Ruthless work environment.

    Advice to Management

Try to foster a warm, creative environment. Don't give in to the pressure - it depresses creativity and focus which will then get you lower ratings.

I worked at Clear Channel full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This is a very organized company, with money behind the operation, and big talent banks. They are innovative but you will need to be part of the game.

    Cons

Always changing commissions and the company is in flux due to the huge debt load they are under. What they innovate you will have to implement.

    Advice to Management

Watch your back. I saw lots of heads roll.
