    Pros

Great experience, good work life balance, great managers and lots of perks. Almost all holidays the day before management made us work half day.

    Cons

No mobility for advancement or for cross training. As an exployee you had to find ways of educating or improving your skill and knowledge. Management reduced workforce without no advance warning.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Clear Channel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is absolutely nothing that is a Pro

    Cons

Everything from their horrible management to pay. The will lure you in to work there with a client list and then once you are there take it away to lure someone else. Management will lie to you about everything

    Advice to Management

Hire management based on those who encourage and motivate their staff vs pit them against one another

    Pros

Flexible hours; free parking at Milton office.

    Cons

Unfriendly employees, did not learn much about the radio industry

    Advice to Management

Make interns feel more valued; don't make us share computers; have a more concrete internship program

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

flexible working pattern, allowed to use initiative

    Cons

False promises, commissions never paid, too many cockups which were not down to BDM but posting issues but BDM suffers with claw backs, poor management, lack of development on sites, refuses to be competitive on price for SME's

    Advice to Management

Look at the competition, better salary as job is not a 9 - 5 role, lead generation for BDM's would entail more appointments which would equal more revenue. All targets shouldnt be the same as patches differ in opportunities to sell

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Chicago, IL

    Pros

Very rewarding working. Knowledgable co-workers who take pride in their work and doing the best they can in generating the highest shares and advertising sales for the television stations they represent. Everyone willing to help one another.

    Cons

Fast moving, high pressure position to turn work around quickly. Once you develop a system it flows much better. May not get a great deal of direction in developing a system initially, but ask for help and you will eventually figure out what works best for you.

    Pros

Perks. Concert tickets, event tickets, company happy hours after sales contests, etc. Opportunity to meet some awesome people on the sales team but its a revolving door so it's easy to feel like it's not worth getting to know someone until they've been there a while. However, if you're great at sales and have a lot of contacts in your area then you can do really great.

    Cons

Some truly terrible managers. Will mess around with your commissions just because they can (which is terrifying because it's commission only pay).

    Advice to Management

Be upfront and honest. Don't act like you're a family member that's looking out for someone. And stop wasting time with meetings that don't include training.
