I worked at Clear Channel (More than a year)

    Pros

Great culture, terrific brands to work on.

Live studios floor above gives you access to artists

    Cons

Terrestrial radio a dying breed, agency business much easier to come across than prospecting

    Advice to Management

Carve out niche opportunities for sales reps to focus on and specialize in. Promos/ad spots/digital needs to be combined

I worked at Clear Channel part-time

    Pros

Loved the hours, very flexible with my schedule. I would work there again if it wasn't for the money they pay.

    Cons

I would say the pay. For the amount of work everyone has,the pay is not really good.

    Advice to Management

Please take more care of the people who work there. Management do not acknowledge lower division people.

I worked at Clear Channel part-time

    Pros

Very nice facilities and equipment that the company does a good job maintaining. People are generally friendly, at least in that superficial, Office Space kind of way.

    Cons

They are very cheap. They don't want to make anyone full-time because they don't want to pay anyone benefits if they don't have to. Even if you are full-time you aren't doing too well. Some staffers had gone over 5 years without a raise. Despicable.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your people, and they'll take care of you.

    Pros

Wonderful place to work and San Antonio is a wonderful community to be a part of. The environment is a truly professional environment and the organization rewards those who take initiative to do their jobs well.

    Cons

I really don't have any cons to working for this company. I really enjoyed working there and left the organization for a desire to re-locate to another part of texas where the job I performed wasn't available.

    Advice to Management

I believe the management is on the right course and everything in my experience was grade A

    Pros

Good people, fun culture. Great Procurement leader allowed team to grow and be effective without micromanagement.

    Cons

Lots of changes at corporate level caused friction in the field. Some local managers were resistant to change and new market conditions.

I worked at Clear Channel (Less than a year)

    Pros

Highly recognizable radio stations and iHeart Radio
    Good base base and benefits

    Cons

    Zero in bound lead generation
    No CRM

    Advice to Management

Invest in a CRM. When a salesperson invests time in choosing a target company, finding the right person to talk to and starts contacting that person only to find out someone else on the team is already working on it...it stinks!!
