I worked at Clear Channel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun environment. (Mostly) great people. Occasional tickets to concerts and free lunches. The work was fairly simple and straight forward.

    Cons

Pay was below average. The cost of benefits kept going up. Manager wasn't knowledgeable about what they were really doing, was a hardcore micromanager and would talk down to employees constantly.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers for this position who have experience in all things web.

I have been working at Clear Channel full-time

    Pros

I work with talented people and very nice people. My boss/manager is a prince. Flexible schedule for the experienced and proven salesperson.

    Cons

Clear Channel is so cheap. I was hit in the economic bubble of 2009 and lost my job. 9 month later I was hired by my current manager who had been my manager at another place of employment for many years. Because of the economy I started that job at approximately 30K less than what I was making. I've never seen a raise in the 5 years I've been back. I'm not singled out - no one gets raises. I work at least 10 hours most days without taking a lunch. I've had an assistant for 30 plus years. My assistant left in Mid February and they have not replaced her and there doesn't seem to be any plans to replace her. I'm now doing 2 full-time jobs instead of one (which in all honestly, neither of them are being done well). The lack of employees creates a loss of revenue for our clients. I don't know the end game, but I've hit a new bottom with this job. There is no monetary reward for doing a great job.

    Pros

Learning experience in how to work for a large corporation outside of its primary business lines.

    Cons

Application of policies that made sense to primary business, but did not apply to secondary business.

    Advice to Management

The management staff suggesting cost cutting measures is only concerned with immediate savings, not long term health of the company.

I worked at Clear Channel full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, great company, and always fun to meet all of the people while out and traveling. I would recommend this job to any one.

    Cons

I don't think there is a con about this job. Maybe just a lot of work but it is well worth the work. You stay busy and get to have fun while you do it.

    Advice to Management

No advice to management. Just keep doing what you do and providing good music to the people to listen to.

I worked at Clear Channel (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company with great people. Had a lot of opportunities to meet a lot of great people and even the occasional local and national celebrity.

    Cons

I could have had more opportunity to try other aspects of the business other than just sales.

    Advice to Management

Just be more involved and have a more drawn out plan for their interns in general not to much to complain about otherwise.

I worked at Clear Channel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun concerts, met lots of my rock idols and many interesting people.

    Cons

Too many hours and too little money. Ruthless work environment.

    Advice to Management

Try to foster a warm, creative environment. Don't give in to the pressure - it depresses creativity and focus which will then get you lower ratings.
