I worked at Clearwater Paper full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, although with layoffs they've really been stingy and have tried to shortchange people. Insurance, 401k, PTO is pretty great.
I enjoyed most of the people I worked with, and being in manufacturing can be pretty interesting.

    Cons

I would not recommend this as a long term employer to anybody, especially people who think logically. Logical thinking seems to really be lacking here. At every company, there is a degree of things that don't make sense and things that are inefficient. Here, that pool of things is huge and can be very taxing day to day.
Over the last year they've been laying people off in an effort to save money. Problem is, in my opinion, they laid off some of the most productive and progressive people and chose to keep people that don't have ... "challenging" personalities.
Processes are very unsustainable. They are making effort to move in the right direction, and have made improvements in certain areas, but with the limited resources I suspect their issues will only persist/get worse. Stagnant cesspool of filth.
