I worked at Cleveland Clinic as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Exposure to many elements of Cleveland Clinic management and philosophy. Great opportunity to get published. Exposure to high achieving PhDs and MDs from around the world.

    Cons

Expectation to participate in wet lab and literature review without much opportunity to focus on the more relevant components to an individual intern's career path.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent about goals of projects and more consistent in the way individual presentations are being scored.

I have been working at Cleveland Clinic (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Worked her in several capacities for over 18 years. They are fair and honest,. In ITD they give you tons of autonomy.

    Cons

A little underpaid, as long as everything works as designed they are great but if something breaks the focus shift to blame instead of how can we do better.

    Advice to Management

Don't expect perfection. there will always be issues. that's why you employ smart people to fix the issues.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

They give you the impression that they really are concerned about their employees. They support their employees to seek higher education with financial assistance.

    Cons

They pound their culture into you with annual exams, you are late and docked for being 1 minute late. That 1 minute can get you terminated. If you need to go to emergency and you are not admitted. You will be charged $100. dollars per visit. Raises are determined by evaluations that could be very unfair depending on the person doing your evaluation.

    Advice to Management

Management (not all) leaves it up to the company to praise the efforts of the successes of their department. Some of those who want growing production and quality should monitor department moral closer to receive positive results.
