I have been working at Cleveland Clinic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employees get along with each other. Family oriented. Great place to learn because of small size. Not a trauma hospital, no labor and delivery, and no pediatrics. The ED will stabilize these types of patients and send them to a proper hospital.

    Cons

Building is very old and needs to be updated to compete with other local hospitals. Employees worry about this hospital being shut down, although management denies these rumors.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to our needs!

I worked at Cleveland Clinic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only good thing about working at the clinic is saying you work at the clinic. Benefits were ok. Pay was alright as a PCA

    Cons

My manager wasn't helpful whatsoever and didn't follow policy. They switched to 12 hour shifts so hours and benefits were cut.

    "Office Drama Galore...Taking you personal"

I have been working at Cleveland Clinic full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits and ability to have multiple locations to bid on after being on current position for 1 year. Being apart of one of the largest employers in the area. Resources of information provided to you to do your job.

    Cons

A LOT of back stabbing and office drama across the board no matter what location you go to..people keep a lot of negativity going all the time. Throughout my almost 10 year career went through several locations/department had enough..left...came back after 4 years hoping a different location would be more positive..NOT...same drama from day one. I'm convinced its not your job description..its they people you work with that makes this a very toxic place to work. So sad. World Class care begins with World Class Caregivers caring of fellow employees. You find yourself staying and tolerating the crap just for job security.

    Advice to Management

Stop participating in the office drama. Stop taking your personal dislikes of a person personal. Be a leader and stop the toxic atmosphere that goes on in these offices all day. Stop sweeping it under the rug and address the situation instead of feeding into the madness. The Cleveland Clinic as a organization is a wonderful place in name and service...But the behind the scenes as a employees is a very toxic environment that should be address to stop losing valuable professional people. All because they can't do their job without being a victim of office drama .
