    I have been working at Clevertech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I have worked remotely for over 15 years. Clevertech does this style of work better than any company I've worked with in the past. Clevertech is a great place to work for many reasons:

    Remote! (if that is your thing)
    Management trusts their employees.
    Management is engaged with the employees
    Management invests in their employees.
    Management is genuinely interested in their employees' happiness.
    Very competitive salaries.
    Good benefits package.
    Fairly flexible schedule ... within reason. You are part of a high-talent team.
    Interesting projects.
    Work with top talent from around the world.

    Cons

    Remote work is not for everybody. Generally, you need to be a self-starter, good with remote communication tools, fairly organized, and occasionally available to work odd hours due to the worldwide team structure.

    These aren't really what I consider cons, but you need to make sure working remotely fits your MO.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you are doing. Your recent initiatives to help your workforce improve their knowledge and home-office work environment are fantastic.

    Pros

    Remote - need to say more?
    Flexibility - doesn't get any better than being remote.
    Culture - tons of resources to stay engaged with people working from all over the world.
    Agency to ask questions and put ideas on the table.

    Cons

    No cons as of yet.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you are doing!

    Pros

    Work remote and that's about it

    Cons

    A lot of work, a lot of stress, bad benefits, bad pay. Their developers aren't starts liek they think they are.

    I have been working at Clevertech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Work from wherever you want, with the freedom to work how you want.
    - Incredibly responsive management team (I've never seen a team move so quickly on feedback from staff).
    - Not the lonely island remote work vibe, every person on the team actually wants to be a part of a team and puts in the effort to create that environment with enthusiasm.
    - Management actually values your opinions and ideas
    - Plenty of opportunity for professional AND personal growth.

    Cons

    - If you struggle with time management, it may not be the place for you. The company puts a lot of trust in those they hire, therefore, you need to be someone that can manage their responsibilities without constant oversight.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the positive momentum! This is a thoroughly enjoyable team to be a part of and I'm excited for the future.

    I have been working at Clevertech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The list of 'Pros' is endless. As a single parent, in a city with horrific traffic, I truly appreciate the ability to work remotely. The culture is great, my colleagues are top-notch.

    Cons

    Working remotely does remove many of the socialization aspects of being onsite yet, Clevertech does a great deal to combat this through having a great culture. Additionally, if you need supervision or consider your somewhat dependent then you may struggle with being responsible for your time and output but, as a part of Clevertech you have access to a very large network of experts than can lend a hand.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

    Flexibility of working from anywhere in the world with wi-fi
    Opportunity to connect with co-workers worldwide
    Outstanding support for equipment/tools needed for job duties
    Strong company culture - feel just as connected if not more, than being in an office setting
    Bright minds always at your fingertips, available to help with any problem you may encounter on the job

    Cons

    No regular in-person contact with your co-workers

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    The benefits of remote work are unbeatable

    Cons

    -It is not a coincidence that most reviews are consistently about negative experiences with the CEO
    -Employees are encouraged to positively review the company and up-vote other positive reviews. Unsure if they are given any incentive to do so.

    I have been working at Clevertech full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    * Freedom to add value to a project the way that works best for you and from wherever you are most comfortable
    Working from home means no more packed lunches or pricey take-out, no more rushing out the door in the morning only to get caught in traffic. No more being stuck in the same room with the same people every day and sorting through all the political and social distractions that unfold constantly during the workday. With good communication, you can work on your schedule while meeting business needs and driving value in comfort.

    * World-class clients and daily interaction with project stakeholders
    Talk directly with the client, the project manager, and the rest of the team every day during a quick stand-up video call. Work with some of the biggest companies in the world, or on a new cutting-edge start-up fresh out of a round of funding. Communicate with the project manager to set expectations, clear blockers, and solve problems.

    * Dedicated projects
    At Clevertech, you are assigned to a project -- not multiple projects -- and this really lets you get focused. You are not sharing three projects among 5 people over the course of a month -- you are given a project and that is what you work on for months. Work with other members of the team to build a lasting and impactful application before moving onto the next project.

    * Company-sponsored group training
    Topics including machine learning, blockchain, React / React Native, leadership, and more. Sometimes there is a book we all read, other times it is a udemy or coursera or other online education platform. There are weekly goals of 2-3 hours + a weekly meeting. This allows everyone at the company many opportunities to learn and grow, and makes the culture of the company feel very supportive.

    * C2C
    Corp-to-Corp provides developers more freedom in managing projects, and empowers developers with their own company-budget. Also, working corp-to-corp is a great way to start your own business and get used to the process this way.

    * Internal tooling and support
    DevOps goes above and beyond routinely to ensure stability of the CI server and assist with technical AWS implementations. Moreover, the powerful trio of GSuite, Slack, and Zoom mean you get to work with some of the best remote collaboration tools available.

    Cons

    * C2C
    Working as an independent contractor definitely has downsides -- there is much more risk (i.e. less job security), and you are taking on more responsibility for the project than you might be as an employee of a traditional dev shop. It is much easier to terminate a contractor than an employee, and there are many benefits (worker's comp., 401k, healthcare, etc) that become your responsibility to manage yourself -- including paying for them yourself. That said, most of the things you end up paying for yourself can be expensed and save you money at tax time.

    * No hand holding
    Going back to the independent contractor bit, in this gig-economy you are expected to add value to a project. If you do not add value to a project relative to your costs, you will likely not have that contract. That said, not all projects are winners and if you are clearly a talented developer working hard, communicating well, and a good culture fit, there are usually plenty of other projects you can work on.

    * Sink or Swim (kind of)
    Depending on the project, you are usually given a task and expected to perform. Not every project you work on will have good documentation (if any), and not every tech stack will be shiny and new. You must learn, adapt, and deliver value regardless of project circumstances. The only thing that matters at the end of the day re: your job safety is whether or not the client is happy with your work.

    Advice to Management

    * Continue to maintain honest, frictionless communication channels. Continue encouraging, promoting, and enabling communication

    * set measurable goals and measure developer progress against those goals (or give developers the tools to measure their own progress against those goals)

    * Continue assigning the best developers you can hire to the coolest projects you can find. A recipe for job satisfaction, for sure.

    * Keep training leaders and supporting your devs -- The courses, the devops support, the internal tooling development; all of this lends itself to a positive developer experience.
