I have been working at Client Network Services as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am still in college while doing an intern here. It is great experience which I learn tons from project assigned and peers. I have a great manager who is excellent and we got some experienced senior software engineers as our mentors as well. They are smart and always willing to help. The culture in my team is great, exotic, and I love it. They value your effort very highly and respectfully. I love my team.

    Cons

Disadvantage if you do not like Indian culture or food. For me, it is fine. I like it. Room is packed while rapid expansion and they are looking for new locations urgently. Things could be more organized but I feel that's probably the culture it is.

    Advice to Management

Nice Managers. Willing to listen to you! One thing I always want to ask but I did not is that actually I work more than 8 hrs sometimes but I still put 8 hrs in my Timesheet. Would that be okay if I make it to 8.5 or something like that.

I worked at Client Network Services (More than 5 years)

    Pros

CNSI was the first company I worked after completing my studies. It's a great place to work and people get to learn a lot of new stuff. Lot of good colleagues and managers who are always willing to guide and help their teams. Overall, a great place to work!

    Cons

There aren't any downsides of working here.

    Pros

Good place to work, friendly supportive people focused on work. Good benefits and great work space. Working in a good market with great growth potential. Strong senior leadership providing direction and guidance for the company. It’s a great work location.

    Cons

Difficult commute from Northern Virginia on some days. We could stand another new large, high-speed color printer and some Sumatra coffee.

    Advice to Management

Continue to build on past success, collaboratively with all CNSI projects across the company. Provide greater Business Development opportunities for all Project Manager and Technical Task leads.

    Pros

The company is very professional and they take good care of the employees. Even in this down economy, they are trying to adjust the business to keep the layoffs to a minimum. Corporate management has spread the effects across the entire company, including themselves. As a result, there have been a very small number of people laid off. When there have been reductions, the company has provided a better that expected package to assist the terminated employees. The founders and executives have personally been involved with the process and offered corporate assistance to the laid off employees.

Policies are flexible and they are willing to work with the employees to come to a reasonable compromise.

    Cons

Working at a Washington DC client. Commute is long, but bearable as the location is next to a commuter rail station. I wish the vacation policy was a bit more generous, but it's workable.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. I like the friendly and collegial atmosphere.

I have been working at Client Network Services full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A great company to work for with a strong leadership and solid pipeline of products / solutions catering to the healthcare domain. The people are simply superb showing excellent teamwork. There is a lot of room for personal growth as team size / composition is small. The company provides a three week time-off even for new hires and recognizes individual and team contributions through a variety of internal recognition programs. The best company to work for so far in my career of 16+ years.

    Cons

Although the company has an average employee health insurance and 401K match options, they do offer a variety of employee specific programs that is quite helpful.

    Advice to Management

None. They do a great job!
