    Pros

Great people to work with, dedicated, hard-working.

    Cons

Long hours, grueling schedules, senior management needs more cultural and client diversity.

    Advice to Management

Could use shorter hours and more staff.

    Pros

Clifford Chance is a leader in the legal industry, not only in terms of their services to clients, but also in terms of changes and improvements to general management of the firm (education, support staff etc.etc.) they tend to be the first with others following.
    Rewards are good.

    Cons

Billable hours pressure, though that it is much better than many other firms (particularly US).
    London office: massification.

    Advice to Management

Focus on diversification of your business (in case you hadn´t learnt in the past two years) in order to survive the different cycles of economy. In terms of People Management, make sure to stay at the forefront!

    Pros

Profit sharing - 401K - 28 days a year of vacation and personal time for business services - Nice people to work with

    Cons

The layoffs were really hard on this company. There were so many business service people laid off who worked for the company for over 20 year that it seemed as with the lay off the soul of the company left too.

    Advice to Management

I think management is doing there best to keep Clifford Chance as close to as Rogers and Wells use to be.

I have been working at Clifford Chance full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I enjoy my work and colleagues,
Good benefits free drinks / fruit (Tuesday and Thursday), The free Nuffield run gym is excellent I can't understand why some people do not use it. The free quarterly classic music performances are also excellent. Annual health checkups are another good service. Recently there have been talks given by a professional stress expert which helps our work life balance. .Building is maintained and cleaned to a high standard,

    Cons

Work wise lack of promotion opportunities has been the only negative for me.
The bar and canteen would be pros if they were cheaper and better value no complaints about the staff or surroundings, Sometimes the them and us between lawyers and non lawyers is quite noticeable better than it used to be though

    Advice to Management

Would like to see more inclusion for all staff. It's better than it used to be but still room for improvement. We seem to be getting more 'directors' and middle managers. Can't help thinking there are too many and these positions always seem to go to outsiders, I don't think CC encourage loyalty enough

    Cons

Work hours - the downside to beating the downturn. Expect a heavily compromised social life.
