I worked at Clinical Pathology Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tailgate party to kick off football season
    Lab week

    Cons

Literally everything about working here. You only get 6 paid holidays, 2 weeks PTO, no sick time, OT required often, pay is meh, employees are mean and cliques are very common. Generally unethical culture. Only people management cares about is themselves . Insurance sucks big time $600-$1000/month for a family.

    Advice to Management

Revamp your code of ethics and then actually follow it. That means no one is untouchable. Also people like to be appreciated for their hard work with raises, decent insurance, and time off

    Pros

Great team work. Good work ethics.

Management/Laboratory Leadership really does not listen. They forget that the patient comes before profit.

    Advice to Management

Observe the actual workflow of each department on the various shifts.
Assume nothing about your business core values.

I worked at Clinical Pathology Laboratories part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You don't have to deal with them more than 6 hours.

    Cons

Extreme expectation, poor compensation, never a recognition. Management completely poor and pathetic, unskilled and lack of knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Get training management, how can ineffective and poor performing management expect a great lead, when they have no one to follow as an example.
They expect more and more everyday but offer nothing.....it's dead end. Specimen integrity compromised every single day, constantly baby sitting everyone, that they rather have a quantity of clients than quality of patients.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to what is going on back in the lab
