I have been working at Clinical Pathology Laboratories part-time

    Pros

benefits for part time employees, shifts go by quick, easy work, laid back environment, nice co-workers

    Cons

There seems to be lack of training to the clients, unprofessional management at times, little pay raises every year, managers are constantly rushing to get specimens out for shipment, poor communication with managers and especially client services

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to what is going on back in the lab

I worked at Clinical Pathology Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay it’s reasonable, worked there almost for two years.

    Cons

Doesn’t matter if your a hard worker and learn fast you don’t grow in that company, it’s a lot of favoritism, co-workers half of them won’t he’ll you, the raise yearly ain’t worthy, even you have approved ur PTO they Can and Will denied if they don’t have coverage that they. They take the first 3 days of ur sick time from ur PTO, they hire you as phlebotomy and use u in any position they need, schedule always changing. If you planing work there make sure always cover ur back, you can get fired unfairly saw it with few co-workers.

    Advice to Management

    Disappointed

I worked at Clinical Pathology Laboratories full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Shift diff was great. Pretty low stress.

    Cons

Uses antiquated systems, analyzers, and inefficient use of technologists skills. Unappreciative of talent and full of horrible lunch break gossip from management. Never would recommend this company.

    Advice to Management

Learn management skills. You build a team, not splinter them off to be at odds and take input from your team, you don’t know everything.

    Pros

Constant bullying and harrassment not worth any pro I can think of.

    Cons

Sexual harassment and constant bullying from management. HR won't do anything about it. You can't move up in company. Ignoring the bullies just makes them act worse towards you.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of the bullies.

    Pros

Decent pay, hours are always available

    Cons

During my time there, it seemed understaffed

    Advice to Management

Hire more people so current employees aren't overworked

    Pros

    Great co workers
    Free lab work
Holiday Pay plus an extra vacation day

    Cons

Not enough staffing to keep up with specimen volume. Lots of overtime (after 5:30pm for day shift) required

I have been working at Clinical Pathology Laboratories full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They will hire new phlebotomist right out of school

    Cons

Must call in at 530 am on days when sick. No realistic way to take a break or take a mental health day. They’ll really run you ragged. Poor leadership and management lead to extremely stressful working conditions with little to no recourse. All they care about is speed.

    Advice to Management

If you are wondering why you are constantly understaffed, it is because your employees don’t feel appreciated and flee when they find something better. Treat your employees like they are important to you. An “appreciation dinner” once or twice a year is laughable.
