I worked at Clovis Oncology full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule but work still needs to get done. Fridays are pretty relaxed in the office and close at 1pm. They provide a variety of snacks, fresh fruit and drinks which is nice to have. Their benefits package was great in my opinion.

    Cons

Unlimited time off is deceiving as unsure when to use it. Unsure of where the company was going each quarter, it might just be this industry though.

I have been working at Clovis Oncology

    Pros

Great pay, great benefits. Enjoy co-workers. Certainly not lacking in work load.

    Cons

Micro-managers, and some are just plain crazy. Lacking the abity to foster a strong team environment. The cons don't make the benefits worth it.

I worked at Clovis Oncology full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    * Two-days a week home office was great for a change as the location is not the best place to work. * Unlimited vacation time. * a Great starting salary of $160,000 but not worth the bad quality of life that San Francisco provides.

    Cons

    * Micromanagers * Favoritism * Finger-pointing/blame game * Fake people / double-faced * Managers with titles and no idea about processes and resources they are managing. * Outdated processes or manual work. Small biotech growing pains. * Downtown San Francisco (SF) office is one of the worst locations you can commute to right now. An ongoing construction (Warriors new stadium) next to the building, poor parking area (meters everywhere or expensive parking lots) and well, if you commute from the EAST Bay get ready for a long commute.

I have been working at Clovis Oncology full-time

    Pros

The work environment at Clovis is great. People here are eager to drive success of the company forward in a challenging competitive landscape. From an HR standpoint, they are flexible and provide good benefits.

    Cons

The only downside is that it is a small company in a competitive environment, so it's a volatile situation in terms of security going forward. But it also adds to the excitement.

I have been working at Clovis Oncology full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Leadership is unparalleled, (THUMBS up to our CEO indeed!) BRILLIANT & Dedicated People, Break through Science and products, Great compensation and perks/facilities, Fun, People Genuinely Appreciated and Thanked for their efforts Small company mentality in a growing midsize organization This is where the Patient comes 1st in all ways, in action and in talk. At Clovis, from leadership to worker bees, we all walk the talk and everyone pulls their weight, and helps others! Its refreshing (and an honor) to be part of such a unique and fabulous organization. Clovis sets the bar sky high! "We will do right by the patient & product, the rest will follow"

    Cons

Extremely tight timelines and high expectations makes this, NOT for everyone Lightning Speed work pace, puts fast pace to a snail pace in comparison Still growing, have growing pains Work/Life Balance is hard, but that's because most CHOSE Clovis as a priority, we are all in this together and we WILL change the path of Cancer.
