CoNetrix is a Great Place to Be

Pros

The people who work at CoNetrix are amazing. The people you work with are the same people you want to have over for pizza night. They are excited to learn new things and explore new ideas. They are hard workers, critical thinkers, and problem solvers, but they make time to stop and ask how your day is going (and they genuinely want to know). Working at CoNetrix, I learn something new every day. I am encouraged to grow in my field and to expand my horizons. When I have a thought or idea, I feel like I can share it, and more importantly, I feel like I am heard. I can honestly say I am a better person (at work and at home) because of my time spent at CoNetrix.

Cons

These “cons” may be positive or negative, depending on your perspective. CoNetrix is fast paced. Projects may arise or change without much warning. Flexibility is a must. However, projects still need done, so diligence and time-management skills are important too. There is a balance of solo-work and teamwork required, so it is necessary to be self-motivated while still being a team player.

Great Company

Pros

My time with CoNetrix has been great so far. There is truly a team atmosphere within the company. Everyone contributes to common goals. CoNetrix strives to hire not only the most talented individuals, but also people of integrity and high moral standing. This means you're surrounded by gifted, hard-working, intelligent and honest people. For a small company, the pay and benefits is very good. They can't pay as much as a larger company in Austin or Dallas, but their pay and benefits compete very well with similar companies in the Lubbock market. There aren't a lot of opportunities for advancement, as far as title goes, but they do provide regular raises. There are also many opportunities to move to different positions in the company (Most are lateral moves - from support to sales, etc.).

Cons

As a newer employee (fewer than three years), I wish paid time off (vacation/sick time) accumulated more quickly. Currently, for an employee of my tenure, time off accumulates at 1 full day per month. The only think I'd suggest for that is for them to maybe give employees 5 days on their anniversary, in addition to the regular accumulation.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice and detailed review. We strive to hire great people, provide good benefits and a great place to work, so I am glad to see this appreciated. Good comment on PTO for new hires – we are actually looking at making some changes to provide some immediate PTO at hire and then accrual thereafter. I also appreciate your suggestion of having more planned opportunities to bond with employees outside work – we will work on this, and I want to invite you to help us out. Thanks, Russ

Oustanding company

Pros

- positive work-life balance - truly care about employees' success and well-being - properly schedule travel with enough time to complete engagements before beginning a new one - extremely selective when hiring employees to ensure a proper "fit" with the company, values and vision, etc.; low turn-over rate - family atmosphere - very supporting of continuing education and professional growth; cover costs of exams and prep - flexible scheduling - informal atmosphere that is open and inviting

Cons

The company is not big on titles, but roles seem a little ambiguous at times....this is likely a growing pain as the company continues to expand
