I worked at Coach part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Coach Journey - platform that present you the history of Coach and the lastest updates on new collections. This helps you to get better knowledge about the product that you sell.

    Cons

Benefits: just medical insurance... no extra perks.
Employee Discount: Customers has better prices than employees (I worked in a Outlet), its like no have employee discount because is a 65% off from original price (ridiculous high price).

    Advice to Management

Take more care about the employees. The company is focus only in the Modern Luxury Host Ceremony and dont care about how the employee feels, doesnt care about the employee opinion, etc. The company Focus is on sale and thats it!

I worked at Coach part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very good training system. Gives you tools you need to gain knowledge to succeed in future career paths. Helps staff develop strong leadership skills. Bob Neubauer, Kat Eaton, Lindsay Misiaszek, and Tobey Viveiros were some of the best bosses I have had in my working career. Sad to see them leave Wrentham.

    Cons

Management in store is poor. Did not help staff at the time grow within the store. They give you the tools to succeed but never help you grow after that. More than one management staff was very racist to Hispanic/Asian customers and staff. I have also witnessed sexual harassment get reported on the management level and then swept under the rug before it was taken any further. I am disappointed to see these specific staff on the management team still employed at Coach and the ones that left a positive impact on my life and advice to grow in my career, have left the store.

Wrong people in power at this location.

    Advice to Management

I think there needs to be an investigation done on this store, Management tries to hide a lot of the problems going on in the store to make themselves look better in front of the company. Overall this was a great company to work for, minus the management.

Strongly recommend Bob Neubauer taking over the roll of GM one day. He would be amazing for the store.

I worked at Coach part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There aren't any I'm just using the minimum amount of words

    Cons

    Poor work-life balance
    Very unfriendly management
Everyone is miserable because of management
Store manager is out to get everyone; will want you to quit one day then love you the next.
    Very metrics driven
There are favorites so if you're not a favorite good luck

    Advice to Management

I understand that your career is in retail but you don't need to be terrible to your employees. Send out more positive vibes and your employees will respect you more.

I worked at Coach full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good health benefits for full-time and certain part-time employees. Great hours for students who can't work a traditional 9-5. Amazing customers from all around the world. One good manager.

    Cons

Horrible management team who plays favorites, fabricates lies and rumors on employees they do not like. Micromanagement. Managers use scare tactics to control employees. Managers don't feel they should be held accountable for their actions. There is a division in the store with managers on one side and everyone else on another side.

    Advice to Management

Upper and corporate management please to perform exit interviews with all employees not only managers so you can find out why the turnover rate is so high.

    Pros

There were not any pros at this job.

    Cons

Management was not clear on dress code policies and would write you up even if you could fix the dress code infraction immediately. On a day the mall was closed to inclement weather I was marked as a no show to work because I contacted an assistant manager to see if we were open, this was considered 'calling out of work' and I did not receive payment for that shift when all other employees that shift did.

    Advice to Management

Be more clear and upfront about policies

    Pros

Nice discount, if you care about that type of thing. Work schedule was largely 9-6. No nights or weekend expectations.

    Cons

Depressing culture. Mid-level management often had little to no practical experience in the area they were managing, particularly those overseeing web development.

    Advice to Management

A series of small offices were torn down and replaced with a huge open plan office... which was a huge morale killer. A little respect for employees goes a long way..

I have been working at Coach full-time

    Pros

    - some good coworkers who have been there for a long time and know the business well
    - benefits overall are decent
    - new HQ at good Midtown location

    Cons

    - some senior management at the VP level are the most terrible human beings on earth
    - transformation is an upheaval battle and its strategy is somewhat questionable
    - limited opportunities to grow skills to stay marketable after a few years
    - very limited career growth opportunities within the company
    - felt very disconnected as a company

    Advice to Management

    - We really need more varieties of products to attract and engage customers
    - We are in the same building now, but it feels farther away due to lack of communication
    - ff you are serious about running a data-driven business, please find a better leader who is skilled at customer analytics
