I have been working at Coach full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for. It's very exciting to be a part of a company that's always innovating in just about every aspect of the company.

The individuals who work here are some of the smartest and talented people in their fields.

    Cons

The size of the company can sometimes make what is normally simple task a bit of challenge.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

Team work makes the dream work!

    Pros

Great discounts, fairly high hourly pay for part-time

    Cons

Store managers aren't trained enough to run a store

    Advice to Management

HR must listen when employees bring up internal issues to the rep

I worked at Coach (More than a year)

    Pros

great discounts, same level co workers are nice, and you learn a lot since coach is a machine.

    Cons

abusive middle management, i was SCREAMED at multiple times for minor errors, once for not setting my printer margins correctly on a spread sheet, sometimes to the point where my manager would corner me in their office and scream at me till i cried... long hours, minimal training, often left to fend for yourself. Very much a sink or swim culture. High turn over. Weight loss from stress.

    Advice to Management

Support your employees, and train them properly. Be respectful and don't scream and abuse your employees to the point of harassment. Let go of middle management with bad retention rate history ... there is a reason they cant keep people on their team ...

I worked at Coach full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - The discount
    - Day goes by fast because of switching sections and posts every hour (I worked as a Sales Associate)
    - I made a lot of friends while working there
    - Occasional bonus if you're there a lot and can earn it

    Cons

    - Cashiers have favoritism/bias over giving sales to sales associates (i.e. will give someone else's sale to a more friend-like colleague)
    - Sexual harassment happens and there's a culture of not doing anything about it (i.e. "accidental" groping in the stock pips, sexual language directed at individuals)
    - Sales staff will steal each others' sales

    Advice to Management

Look beyond the #s and $s and invest in the people working for you, pay attention to the culture of your work staff as a whole, and don't play favourites.

    I worked at Coach part-time

    Pros

    65% off outlet
    50% off retail
monthly bonuses if your store makes monthly goals
bonuses can be as little as $90 or as much as $600 if your in the top 3 of sales associates

    Cons

even though you get paid hourly you are BASICALLY a SALESMAN because you get uncomfortably pressured to sell a certain amount of items, and transaction amounts per hour (without the physical commission b/c they are too cheap to actually pay employees that and an hourly wage)
part timers get little to no hours.
there are three levels of part-timers
the second and third level is little to NO benefits including things such as paid time off, sicks days and holiday pay.
DRESS CODE is terrible, it takes away individuality as if you are in prison or have sold your soul to the company. The huge hassle is NOT worth what little you get in return. You told what nail, lip, and hair color is acceptable which is pretty many natural colors. White nail polish is not allowed. Can only wear black and gray items.
I got paid MORE and was treated with WAY more dignity at H&M and coach is supposed to be higher up ...

    Advice to Management

Stop setting unrealistic goals to your part timers that barely work enough to perfect their craft or to even meet the needs of the company.
Be more down to earth .
