    I worked at Coal India full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Coal India is a Semi Government company. So it gives you a full job security. Promotion doesn't depend on your performance.

    Cons

    Most probably you will be posted in a remote location away from well established cities. It is a major con because of which I resigned from the company.

    Advice to Management

    Actually I can not advice because everything is governed by government of India Policies. It you know how a govt job works and you like it then its perfect.

    No challenge, bureaucratic outdated working conditions. One of the worst working places

    It gives very good salary, and work culture provides job security, will give a sense of power at initial executive level

    Cons

    will face problems in workforce management, there is huge impact of labor trade unions, job location will not be good

    please bring the standards and facilities that are given in other public sector undertakings

    Pros

    job security . salary is good..benefits is good.not too much work.. perks good if in a profitable subsidiary

    Cons

    technology usage is worst..too much friction.. transfer to spouse work place if working outside cil is not there.red tapism..too much leg pulling..and back biting

    transfer to spouse's current work location..
    be more transparent

    Interior established colonies, only u can live here no entertainment facilities, slow career growth opportunity based on seniority

    Pros

    1.No pros except salary at entry level.
    2.Worklife balance or no work for people except those are posted at field.

    Cons

    1.Remote area posting( it is frustrating for youths)
    2.Facilities like quarter,food and hospital are pathetic.
    3.Facilities at workplace like table,chair,computer,canteen,toilets,drinking water are either not there or are at very worst condition.
    4.Corruption from top to bottom management.
    5.Too much paperwork.
    6.No advances tools,tecnology or automation.
    7.Your boss will be older than your father so be careful.

    Advice to Management

    1.Please improve the working and living conditions(not in pen and paper)
    2.Introduce biometric attendance compulsory for all.
    3.Provide OT in a organised way through biometric.
    3. Improve procurement process for all spares,tools and use latest technology not conventional.
    4.Provide legs to the files so that they can move on their own and with in time.
