    Pros

Very dedicated leadership team that goes above and beyond for their offices and staff. Great office hours and no Saturdays.

    Cons

Constant eviction notices in the offices, the owners refuse to pay bills on time or at all, lack of training in the offices, the offices are not digital, a very write-up happy environment, benefits are too expensive for lower paid employees, limited or no supplies in the offices (OSHA red flag), offices are dirty due to no janitorial services, can’t take PTO during Thanksgiving and Christmas even if you use your accrued PTO hours, and unrealistic expectations of staff.

    Advice to Management

Don’t let the family run the company. Get an actual CEO and a CFO that understands how to run an organization. Too many “Diasti hands” in the pot.

    Pros

Decent pay, as an OM was salary but god help you if you need to request a day off! Request must be submitted 30 days prior. Who plans on getting sick and needing a doctor?!?

    Cons

No support from corporate, district and regional managers were only concerned about making money and did not care at all about patient care. They write you up if you can’t get care credit application, when 85% of your patients are Medicaid their expectations were ridiculous.

    Advice to Management

Try to remember that they are patients not dollar signs.

    Pros

Nothing beneficial , their is nothing to benefit employee's

    Cons

The company lies to hire RDH .
Take hrs away as promised , not enough patients due to taking dentical , HMOS, it's all about daily unrealistic production.

    Advice to Management

    Your offices doesn't need RDH.
Stop hiring RDH based on contract which doesn't exist in reality . Benefit is not good. Useless health ins . Yes holidays paid , but what about the days with no patients , no work, no hours to get paid .!

    Cons

poor budget, no janitorial service, older equipment, abuse of salary positions, laughable bonus structure, outdated software, lack of support from upper management.

    Advice to Management

Support your frontline office staff, they are your face of the company. If they look unhappy, your patients are not going to be

I worked at Coast Dental Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you like being over worked and underpaid, without enough supplies to treat patients this company is for you. Also be prepared to deal with patient complaints. Patients call and come in daily looking for refunds that are months old. Pay checks are often wrong - but they will eventually correct them so that is a pro.

    Cons

Offices receive monthly notices that rent is not being paid. Supplies are not sent from vendors because- bills are not paid. No X-ray film, gloves, masks, cleaning supplies, etc.
Yearly layoffs without severance packages for long time employees, no one asks the doctors if they are on board with their staff being let go . Impossible for staff to bonus- structure always changes. Unable to use Pre approved PTO- clearly the company has NO money.

    Advice to Management

Support your offices, or close the ones you can’t afford to keep open. Talk to your doctors about what they need in the offices to be able to treat their patients.

    Pros

Co-workers, pay, PTO, weekends off for most people, honest and caring providers. Seemed a great fit at first, but has since lost its way.

    Cons

A sad tale of a company losing its way quicker than with which it can keep up. This company is going downhill faster than it can maintain. Layoffs weekly both in the field and at the home support office. Family is back to run the show and it's failing fast. Vendors and rent go unpaid, employees are paid late, forced and trumped up google reviews from higher management staff to mask the desperate attempt to hang onto every penny they can get to come in from claims and collections. Every angle to cut costs and recover from debt are being made. Staff is governed by fear based management with constant threats of write-ups, firing and discipline if margins are not met. You can feel the tension of this sinking ship.

    Advice to Management

Stop the denial. Admit the company is suffering a hardship instead of pushing harder, wearing employees thin, demanding more & desperately chasing pennies.

I have been working at Coast Dental Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My pay is good and we're a part of the union. Not working on Saturdays and only one day we work until 7. Union pays for medical and other benefits. Gives a 25 cent raise every year I believe. lol

    Cons

The office and old and run down. Equipment old and barely holding up. There is no janitorial service so the employees take out the trash stock the restrooms and mop floors in the offices. Their budget is ridiculously low so it's almost impossible to get the supplies an office needs to run smoothly. We've run out of gloves, sterilization pouches, masks and lab coats. You put your order in for supplies and they send what they want to. Short staffed they have one person doing a job for 3 people. They hire dentists out of school that really aren't trained or have the experience to keep these offices a float.

    Advice to Management

Get a handle on all of your offices. Hire upper level management people who really care about the company. Effectively train your staff. Give bonuses and raises to offices that do their best. Stop worrying about bottom line most of the time and find ways to fix the problem that the company is having so the offices can produce and get the company back where it needs to be.
