I worked at Cobb Theatres part-time

    Pros

Free movies and relatively flexible scheduling. Easy interview.

    Cons

Terrible management. Much of the management staff is focused on other Theatre staff and were not knowledgeable about kitchen management. Viewed kitchen employees as an afterthought. Very little room to move up. Outdated appliances and very low staff morale. Long hours and very poor pay for the amount of work needed to be done. Would often stay till 1-3 in the morning. Don't work here as a cook... unless you have no experience.

    Advice to Management

Hire specific kitchen management that knows what they are doing.

  4. "Manager"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Cobb Theatres full-time

    Pros

it was a good intro job where I learned quite a bit about leadership and management. You get thrown into high stress situations on a regular basis which definitely makes you learn quickly.

    Cons

long hours. Not necessarily a great work/life balance and the pay is much lower than you would expect for the amount of responsibility that you are expected to have.

    Advice to Management

The management team overall was pretty good. I wouldn't recommend changing much because you have a very quick turnover with staff.

Long hours, not suitable for everyone.

  6. "Usher/Cashier"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Cobb Theatres part-time for less than a year

    Pros

A good place to get a part-time job during the summer. The hours and scheduling were pretty flexible and you get to see movies for free.

    Cons

Pay for ushers and cashiers is usually pretty close to minimum wage and you will spend long hours standing on your feet.

    Advice to Management

Improve coordination between management, as many times managers would contradict one another in assigning tasks.
