I worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is a great place to work:
    Professional, hardworking people
    Good pay for the work
    Emphasis on safety
    Robust HR department
Lots of opportunity for advancement; the only thing holding you back is your willingness to put yourself out there
    A great company culture
Good benefits which go beyond the basics (you get $100 credit for work shoes, prescription safety glasses, free slushies every day, occasional free ice cream, usually lunch is provided once a week or so, and so on)
Managers treat people with dignity; they don't just crack the whip
Low turn over because it is such a good job

    Cons

CCBCC has problems like any large business does, but I think they do a good job of managing them.
Too many or too few hours, depending on your job
Not enough professional development offered on the line
Rarely see higher management down at the lower levels

    Advice to Management

The only advice I would offer is, continue improving enforcement of current policies. Things will only get better.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coca-Cola brand on resume, awesome other employees (easy to make friends), free drinks and discounted product. 401k is the best part of the job (match)

    Cons

The pay is horrible for sales- they tell you 36k base but you will make at most 2k per month. Their bonus structure is terrible- even if you’re a top seller; the put so many other things u have to hit (attendance, professional attributes etc.) that no one ever hits it. The most you can make additional is 1,000k every quarter but most make at most $250 bonus if that. I was top 10 in sales and make the same as everyone else. Supervisors are terrible and lazy - they sit in their offices all day and do nothing to add to productivity or help in sales...I’ve been here 6 months and still haven’t had a meeting with my actual team or coaching. Don’t do it!!! Unless it’s a first time job, be warned. It is not what I expected I’m trying to get out ASAP.

    Advice to Management

Floor leads keep doing what you’re doing. You’re awesome and keep the agents going by actually helping.

Supervisors- you seriously need to wake up. Out of the 5 prestigious companies I’ve worked for, the management here is the worst. You all are extremely lazy and no nothing about the product or processes that you preach so much about...

Pay your employees more!!! The job is tough everyday stuck on the phone talking to your customers....we need to compensated. This is not sales this is customer service completely misleading and unprofessional.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not any pros as far as I know.

    Cons

401k only matches 3.5%, the Account Developers don’t know how to order making it hard on Merchandisers. Also, everyone educate yourself on “Chinese half time”. Their “over time” is “half time” and it equals out to about $6 an hour anytime you work more than 8 hours (the company wants you to work 10 a day). You also have to drive your own car.

    Advice to Management

My management is good, just the company is greedy and takes advantage of employees.

    Pros

Solid Pay, Good hours in summer season, great shift leaders.

    Cons

The hours you work will decrease in the off season, some times days are longer than usual depending on the work to worker ratio.

    Advice to Management

Management was awesome never had a problem with them.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is probably the best base pay you'll find around, and there are some decent benefits for the full time worker. Forces you to grow your work ethic and flexibility.

    Cons

Schedules are shoved out at random days each week not giving very much time to accommodate, very labor intensive, good workers are Rarely noticed, incentives are non-existent besides not getting fired, be prepared for lazy workers to come and go. It will take a toll on family life and school life and I do not recommend if you have a family or are going to school.

    Advice to Management

Remind the workers why they need to work hard, give credit where credit is due, and please stop relying on a few hard workers to do the job of the entire warehouse.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fantastic culture that lives up to our Purpose Statement.
Great pay, fantastic leadership with a solid long term business plan to grow the company.
    Open communication.
Always encouraged to grow and develop myself with lots of opportunities available for self-paced learning.
People work very hard at this company with long hours at times, but it is because we believe in our Purpose statement and leadership.

    Cons

Some jobs have long hours, but every company has jobs like that.
