I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers and training, good benefits, incentives and prizes. Ability to move up and chances to shadow another position you are interested in. Pay was decent for a Call Center. Worked as Outbound Rep. so was able to leave or come in early when my calls were complete, no micro managing. Laid back compared to Inbound who receive calls non stop with monitored breaks and lunch and micro managers.

    Cons

Be careful of management who will block your ability to apply for other positions. Also, if applying for positions within the call center you would need to be friends with the hiring manager since they don't always base it on experience or performance all the time.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Vast Portfolio
$60 phone reimbursement regardless of cost of plan
If your a transitioning employee you get your previous bonus + salary

    Cons

Failing and unwanted flavors of product
Always changing prices of products and not informing sales reps
Supporting staff of drivers and merchandisers are incapable of being reprimanded so you do all of their work work yourself
    Not honoring CCR pension
.17 cents per driven mile reimbursement
Timed & reported sales route - too much accountability
Out of touch upper level management

    Advice to Management

Be honest with your employees! Ask them for help, don't just come in and change everything when you've never even driven through that city. I don't wear the same size shirt as my customers, why should they have to wear that same size shirt. Not every flavor sells in every store.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Best money you can make with out a degree. Company has great values and mission statement. Cheap drinks from plant sale every other week.

    Cons

Work 12+ hrs a day. Day is not done until the stops are complete. Company caters to Indian store owners and loses focus on American stores.

    Pros

Decent pay, some good people, easy wet chemistry/bench work

    Cons

No work/life balance, work almost every weekend, labor not intended for quality control, no room for growth

    Advice to Management

Think about people's lives outside of work, and not just your cost per case. Work on assigning proper work to proper employees.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great atmosphere within the sales department. The product sales itself. All you have to do to succeed is work hard and execute.

    Cons

The amount of hours is kind of ridiculous. They expect 50-60 hours. You're up early most days and done late, but that does depend on the route.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to budget for a few more account developers. Give your people more time in accounts and less time rushing throughout the day.

I worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good team members to work with. Do you your job and go on to the next one assigned to you.

    Cons

Full time employee's got a pay increase. Part time didn't. You can put as much if not more than them. Hard to get a full time job. Didn't feel it was fair on the pay. But they look at it someone else can come in take the job.Work longer hours to help cover independent insurance.Dont promote within the company. Never offered full time position. Applied for different positions but never got an offer either way.

    Advice to Management

Treat the pay the pay scale the same for everyone. Full time has benefits, part time just has a $12.00 hour job. You can't cover your benefits hardly with that pay.
