I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Company United full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Decent salary.
Light work (as far as lifting goes).
Monday through Friday, always have weekends off.
Start you off with 2 weeks vacation.
Competitive bonus if you reach your sales goals.

    Cons

Sometimes the days can run long.
Upper management can get lazy on the communication end.
Some of your merchandisers can be not so great and it can be frustrating trying to "motivate" them to do their job.
    Early mornings.

    Advice to Management

Just try and get them to communicate a little better. But I think you can always find this complaint at any job. Great company all around, and I'm lucky to be working for them!

    Pros

Good company overall, great people to work with including upper leadership. They promote from within which is not common now days but leaves the door open for anyone can advance with hard work and dedication.

    Cons

Lack of holding people accountable for the job they are supposed to do.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Company United full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Been here a year and already it has a lot of advantages. I am not going anywhere if I can help it

    Cons

Hot rides in the morning and through out the day in non air conditioned trucks. Seems like a company that works they're employees this hard would at least let them have a nice ride in the ac back to the sales center

    Advice to Management

Get us some help before summer. Not when summer is ending!

    Lots of opportunity for growth.
    Benefits are really good.
I feel like my contributions to the company are appreciated.
    Job security.

    Advice to Management

Be transparent with employees. All employees have something to offer. Take the time to coach and develop your bench strength.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Company United full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers are generally nice. You can go on autopilot for 8-9 hours and get through the day without having to perform any difficult tasks. Better than retail/food service/manual labor. If you can't do anything else BUT retail/food service/manual labor, or if you just want to work for Coke and need to get your foot in the door, it's an OK job.

    Cons

Benefits are only good if you've never HAD any benefits before, as you get literally the minimum that a company could offer in the U.S. without getting laughed at. The company is growing rapidly (by something like 60% in the year I've been here), and management has no clue how to cope with it. Every single transition has been rough. Management writes fake reviews on here about nice views and cheap drink prices. Customers are terrible, and, even if they have a legitimate problem, you can't actually do anything to help them other than reach out to a contact and hope that they bother to check their email or answer the phone. There is a new policy, procedure or rule instituted almost every single day, and keeping up with them can become difficult. Management doesn't really seem to care about employees. Many people in the office feel like they're going to try and institute commission. Some sales reps and BDMs will try and get you to basically do their job for them. The building is not in great condition, and there's never enough space to park. Pay is pretty low, while turnover is pretty high. When I started here a year ago, it was the best call center I've worked in (not that that's saying much), but, with each newly acquired territory, it has become worse and more like the others.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people. Institute uniform policies across territories. Have employees who are good at de-escalating specifically aside to take callers who are screaming and ranting.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Company United full-time

    Pros

It's been ok to work for.

    Cons

Some things need to be addressed i.e. communication and providing better resources to their associates.

    Advice to Management

The tiers of communication needs to vastly improve.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Company United full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Insurance benefits/not dental
    No weekends (for right now)
Great co-workers that are willing to help each other when needed.
    What happened to company cars?

    Cons

Use your own personal vehicle to work out of. They want you to drive over 50 miles a day to see customers and pay you 13 cents a mile reimbursement. This will not pay for your gas, tires, or oil changes. They "make" you carry extra insurance also that they do not pay for-you do. They track with GPS where you are and how long you spend with customers. Oh you are also a bill collector if someone writes a hot check. This is just a short list.......there is more.

    Advice to Management

Give credit where credit is due. There are so many hard working employees that are very unsatisfied with the ever changing direction coming from upper management.
