I worked at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working for a company with global name recognition has its advantages! While your specific role may be unique, everyone knows the Coca-Cola name, and a lot of pride comes from that. In such a large company, there are lots of opportunities to do different things in different functions as you progress along your career path. The variety of functions mean that in some parts of the company, people have no idea what is done by other functions. Therefore, its really up to you to make your career go in the direction you want it to go, and learn about those other functions if they interest you. The company prides itself on its diversity and inclusion, and with its global bottling network, there are lots of opportunities. The benefits are very good.

    Cons

The internal workings can be rather political, so it could depend on who you know, rather than what you know, if you want to get ahead, or get to where you want to be. This could vary based on where you are geographically, as well as functionally. As a large and storied company, when restructuring is undertaken, it is often big and impactful, even if it means negatively impacting ongoing functions. The company is trying hard to diversify its strategic priorities, but there is still a reliance on the success and profitability of its core namesake brand, even in the face of headwinds. In general, the culture is 'do more with less', so it can be long hours and a lot of work.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, even better benefits (401k, Paid vacation, 6 week parental leave, etc.) potential to make connections once out in field

    Cons

Very hard labor, irate management, strict policies and guidelines, this DC in bryan hires whoever at times and that messes up the whole company’s flow at times

    Advice to Management

    Hire within

I worked at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, large respected national brand which garners respect from the trade but also creates the perception that you have deep pockets.

    Cons

Constant restructuring/layoffs, dependence on soda for growth while shoppers want healthier options.

    Advice to Management

Create a better environment of stability for associates

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work schedule is on point and the pay is ok but could be a bit better. It is a job that you wouldn't mind getting up to come to.

    Cons

The variety of people working there are males and so as a female you are continuously trying to prove that you know your job and are capable of doing it. It is so funny at times, people will repeat back to you what you just said.

    Advice to Management

My advice is for management to check on the ones that they have doing the managing.

    Pros

Free Coke; tuition reimbursement; good lunch options, awesome new building

    Cons

No work-life balance. Lacking communication from leadership. No clear strategic direction. Poorly trained managers.

    Advice to Management

Get trained and get on the same page. The chaos and indecisiveness is very telling

    Pros

    career opportunities, growth, good money

    Cons

Top tier leadership not investing in future because they are always buying/selling each other out.

    Advice to Management

Don't give bonuses on saving money. Give bonuses on projects that increase efficiency and are sustainable.
