Pros

Code Unlimited is a great company on its way to being an awesome company, with still some areas for improvement. Fast-pace work with an emphasis on innovation and mentorship. Failure is not discouraged, but is controlled and is mostly used as a learning opportunity. In a short span of time, you could be involved in wildly different projects and industries, which can be a lot of fun and ramps your skills and knowledge very quickly. Workplace culture is inclusive, diverse, fostering growth, innovative, accessible, and flexible. Some of the people you'll meet there will be some of the greatest characters you'll get to know.

Cons

The compensation/benefits package is subpar, with little opportunities for raises, promotion, or other advancements--despite the great opportunities for training, mentorship, and career growth. The company may feel a little bit cliquey at times, with senior employees picking favorite leaving some juniors under-worked and with not enough hours for full-time compensation. The lack of a separate HR department poses another challenge as well. The existing HR personnel consists of the co-founder of the company, which is less than ideal. My time at Code Unlimited was mostly great, until changes in management took place the completely changed my experience from one of growth to one of stress.

Pros

Great co-workers and company culture. Very flexible and supportive of family/work/life balance. Autonomy with support there when needed. We are busy, but it creates a sense of job security.

Cons

When fast growth happens, things can feel stressful at times, just like it would anywhere else.
