I have been working at Cognizant Technology Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Getting into Cognizant is a good start for fresher. Helpful coworkers. Easy reach to Leadership. Salary credits on time.

    Cons

No learning, repetitive tasks. To learn new skills, its hard to get chance if you are not on bench. Mandatory 9 Hours to be followed, and when there is strict deadline/ work pressure 9 Hrs may change to 10/12/15 as required but should not be less than 9 Hrs.
Poor Administration. Transport people are rude and strict with the rules with no humanity in case one misses cab.

    Advice to Management

Be accountable for the tasks assigned to you.

This is a great organization to start with, however, due to huge number of employees you don't get proper R&R.

    Pros

It seems that the brand name has some sheen to it

    Cons

Short term focus - kill jobs, disrupt their lively-hood and save money today, stupid people sitting @ the top.. functional leads... most of them are sexually inclined.. if you are a woman - you will do good... very Chennai and Hyd oriented.. if you are a crazy techie from Chennai .. you will kind of do OK .. coz u do not have a voice and a backbone.

    Advice to Management

get real... u can not survive without people... if you really wanna save some $s.. pls take a pay break .... Ideally u shd have trained people to adapt to AI before kicking 10K jobs you morons.

you have taken away livelyhoods of people..

    Pros

Frankly speaking I didn't find anything best in the company. The management just knows how to give false promises and make you slog.

    Cons

Employees are moved from 1 project to another (3 projects in 3 years). Management gives false commitments regarding growth. HR is non supportive. The higher management ignores and doesn't reply to your emails even if you tell them about the unfair practice of the management. The company forces you to resign when you are about to get promoted after long 3 years with your best efforts, training batches for the project and getting the best ratings and awards.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire employees if you want to spoil their career as you don't notice but when an employee gives his best to you in terms of work you can't just force them to resign by taking 2 months salary even after getting nominated for the next level because they didn't join the company and worked hard for this day, rather they work to get promoted and build the career. Because of you forcefully asking them to resign stating that there is no job openings relevant to them spoils the career for them because they are back to where they started 3 years back. At the same time when you ask an employee to resign how can you have multiple openings in the same location with the same required profile or skill set. Your company is just here to ruin employee's career.
