I worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cognizant has lots of high profile clients so lots of opportunities to work for "Cool" clients.

    Cons

The company remains very Indian culture. Too many aggressive and abusive managers that regularly shouts down team members at client's office. Shockingly senior managements called the abusive behavior as "Good Leadership skill"

    Advice to Management

When Cognizant dispatches Indian managers to Europe, please get their leadership skill right. It is embarrassing that too many Indian managers can't control their emotion at work.

I worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People are approachable. I have been fortunate to have worked with some good managers who recruited me into this organization and have learnt a lot from them.

    Cons

Some people who have started their careers with the same company and are still continuing do not know proper work culture of how to treat their subordinates well.

    Advice to Management

People don't leave jobs but they leave managers.while Cognizant is growing , it needs to look at the attrition and why some of its employees are leaving the firm. Even the exit interview at the moment is being handled by the junior HR admin staff which defeats the whole point of having exit interview.

I have been working at Cognizant Technology Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good onsite chances if working in cities like chennai. Not good to work in cities like cochin where there are very less projects

    Cons

Less chances for growth unless you are in the same account for many years. Your manager can make or break your carrier for no reason at all. Better be in good terms with your manager or just quit.

    Advice to Management

Rate people on the merits and not based on personal relationships
