    Pros

Good bonus. Immigration, HR system process is clean and easy.

    Cons

Learning opportunities are very less. Associates, Senior Associates are downtrodden by higher level people. Lots of favoritism, regional feeling, politics and very less growth. Hikes and promotions are given to the people favor to management. Not at all transparent.

I worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay (I probably was the highest paid guy in the room, but that was my problem)
Truly tries to hire and promote women, which is not common for a largely Indian company (I'm a guy, mind you)
Identify their best resources and make an earnest effort to accommodate their needs, be it changing projects, changing cities, or just making allowances for marriages, divorces, child births, etc...
Very socially active, use any excuse to have a nice gathering, including meetings with HR that came over to tell that COLA is not rising this year, and help you exhibit all kinds of "socially-responsible" behavior, like going green, helping the poor, helping to educate kids in India.
Good communication from management. Very upbeat, very professional, and very open and informative.
Can get respect and forward movement even if you are not from India, and don't know anyone in the company, just work hard, be professional, and know what you are doing.

    Cons

    The usual for the body-shop:
     - revolving door, which I've been told is typical for an Indian body-shop
     - no career path to speak of (can jump from project to project)
     - Intelligence is reverse of seniority, it looks like they hire dumb people and see what sticks overtime. The higher up the ladder the better people there are. I guess this would be a pro, if you hadn't to cleanup after those juniors who are supposed to cleanup after you.
     - a awful lot of nepotism, many people complained to me that they have to really buddy-up with the boss to get a god review, bonus or a promotion. Was told that this part of the culture and other Indian body shops run the same way.

    Advice to Management

I have none. It appears that the company is growing by leaps and bounce without my advice.

    Pros

Reviews (above) given by Indians are false. This is a lousy place to work. Lousy managers, lousy culture. Just terrible.

    Cons

See "pros". Cognizant discriminates against American workers. Culture full of liars and back-stabbers. No advancement opportunities. Your time, wasted.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying. Day-to-day; you lie. Annual reviews; you lie. Violates HB-1. Eating curry in workplace stinks up everything.

    Pros

Excellent College New Hire Orientation. Good for first job out of college.

    Cons

Pay is below average. Raises are virtually non-existent. Be careful when signing out of school. You be promised work in once city and be asked to move across the country after you onboard.

    Advice to Management

Work harder on mentorship programs for college-hires to prepare them for moving up the corporate ladder.

    Pros

Work life Balance is good depending on the client, if not its bad. Good management folks to lead the team and company ahead!

    Cons

No technical growth, No personal education growth! Company does not provide education benefits! Average to low salary compensation.

    Advice to Management

Need perks and educational bonus if the company needs to compete with rivals or grow ahead! Should increase the base pay to retain the highly skilled work force the company has!
