I have been working at Cohn & Wolfe full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Smart and motivated employees, junior staff constantly receives feedback to work, very supportive environment over all, even as junior staff you are given a lot of responsibilities and interesting work, wonderful mentors within the company, pay is much higher than industry standard, management is open and honest about staff turnover and such, people are generally very happy with the company, could not ask for a better...

I worked at Cohn & Wolfe full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-The hours aren’t so bad (compared to a lot of PR firms) -Generally the staff is nice -They give you alcohol on Fridays at 4PM

    Cons

-Whenever anyone is very stressed they can be extremely rude -lack of opportunity for career growth -lack of learning opportunities -the newer employees don’t get much respect -you are tasked with large projects and given barely any time to do them

    Advice to Management

Value your newer employees as you told them you would and show them the respect that they were told they would get before joining C&W. Also provide the learning opportunities you said there would be. Don’t over promise and under deliver.

"Great location, awesome office, not the best atmosphere."

I worked at Cohn & Wolfe

    Pros

Excellent benefits, beautiful office. The building has lofted ceilings and views of the bay bridge. Near public transportation and restaurants.

    Cons

The HR department has favorites and only helps those people. Others are treated very poorly. Management lies to staff about layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Give some credit to the employees who work there. No one believes those emails about employees who mysteriously disappear seeking other career options.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Cohn & Wolfe

    Pros

This company has virtually ZERO pros, they have no clue how to manage people, who to promote, how to handle client relationships and how to get their clients good press.

    Cons

There are a few good people that work at Cohn & Wolfe, but overall it is the most political company I have ever seen.

    Advice to Management

I would clean house if I was in charge of Cohn & Wolfe leadership, the people in charge have no idea what they're doing.
