This is great place to work for young college grads looking to gain great experience and make new friends. There are frequently office parties, happy hours, buddy lunches and other events to help build a tight knit company culture.

    Cons

Salaries and raises are on the low end.

    Advice to Management

    Improve salary bands.

    work/life balance is tricky...at times

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep pulse on what you're doing. Define leadership roles at mid- to upper-level a little more clearly.

    Pros

Cohn & Wolfe is a great place to work. As a member of the Healthcare practice, i feel the leadership team does a wonderful job at not only leading the agency to success over and over again but at the same time really caring about their staff and helping to continue the trajectory of junior staffers' careers. Senior team is easily accessible and open to listening to concerns and desires of each staffer and is genuinely...

    Cons

The personal review process can use refining, but managers tend to do a good job at facilitating that and ensuring people understand any issues as well as successes on an ongoing basis. Also, due to the size of the agency, physical space can sometimes be a struggle.

    Pros

I worked for Cohn & Wolfe Spain, it is a great place to start. They give you a lot of responsibilities which helps you grow professionally, the supervisors and coworkers help a lot when you need it. There is a lot of teamwork and the work environment is amazing. You get the chance to develop different skills and be in contact both with the media and clients, the company relies a lot in their employees.

    Cons

You get to work independently but over your capacity and over your actual position without remuneration. Sometimes the work you do is noticed and/or appreciate it.

    Advice to Management

recognition to the employees, I don't mean only in money terms.

      I worked at Cohn & Wolfe full-time

      Pros

Smart and creative peers, good work-life balance (not typical of agency), great place with a slower pace to learn PR agency basics before moving on to a more innovative and challenging work environment.

      Cons

-A toxic senior manager who constantly drives talented, dedicated employees away without repercussions - IN NEED OF HR OVERSIGHT -Some stale, lazy people in senior roles; new ideas tend to come from more junior/new staff but are often overlooked by senior staff who 'know better' -"This is the way we've always done it" mentality -Minimal opportunities to work with global teams/other offices -More focused on winning...

      Advice to Management

Appreciate your people. Don't play favourites. Provide incentive for junior staff to proactively search for new biz. Pay your junior staff better and promote them for their accomplishments, not just because you're scared they will leave. MOST IMPORTANT: Institute a zero tolerance policy with regard to bullying in the workplace. People are dropping like flies; and despite effort by some senior leaders to improve the...
