I have been working at CohnReznick

    Pros

The people are great. Management encouraged social interaction. It is a great internship for college students looking to gain experience in accounting. Reznick is very flexible. Overall, the managers care.

    Cons

Sometimes work can be boring. Overtime is very common during busy season. Feedback is almost nonexistent for interns -especially in the tax department.

    Advice to Management

Improve the feedback process with interns. Without feedback interns are not able to improve on weaknesses or build upon strengths.

There's a certain lack of consistency, b/c each manager you work with wants things done differently. If you're doing "core" assignments (aka real estate, low income housing, which is the firm's specialty and thus overwhelming proportion of work), it's very automated. Firm seems limited in industries other than real estate. For all staff other than interns, typical "busy season" long schedule pains, lots of Saturdays...

    Advice to Management

As of right now, great job, keep up with the "open door" policy for all staff.
