    Complete lack of capable senior management.

    Advice to Management

    Since the company has now died a slow death, it doesn't make much sense to give advice to management. But if they are still listening I'd suggest they all go hang themselves. This was the worst collection of inept buffoons I have ever seen in my long career. Their patent disrespect and lack of concern for the employees of this company and their endlessly bumbling management decisions as the company slowly slid into the toilet were beyond belief. The Founder/CEO and President/CCO were especially idiotic and reprehensible morons. Good riddance.

    Pros

    You could get a discount on some of the best and most useful items, including some really nice current costume jewelry.

    Cons

    The hours were crazy. I wish they would keep the employees to even a semi-regular schedule, because every week was different.

    Advice to Management

    Please work on making manageable schedules so that we could get to know some of the regular customers and develop a relationship with them.

    Pros

    The management in the Grosse Pointe store was very good. There was a real team atmosphere.

    Cons

    Very little pay for the amount of work. Especially for the people working on shipment or doing display changes at
    night or in the very early morning.

    Pros

    We were empowered to delight the customer at all times and able to deliver fantastic customer service. I made so many connections with our clientele that many of them gave me their contact numbers to reach out to them when I relocate to another company.
    Great salaries, benefits and bonuses.

    Cons

    The last couple of years were difficult due to lots of changes at corporate. Company kept trying to go in different directions but at least the customers did not suffer due to the internal changes.

    Pros

    They care a lot about every customer as if they were family.
    They treat us as family too.

    Cons

    One boss I had was insecure about herself - so she didn't train anyone or give out any information to help us. We had to figure things out on our own.

    Advice to Management

    ALL companies should just show up to see what is really happening in its places without notice. Too many people in Management cover up -- and when notified -- go to extreme to get ready for upper management to go there. Then as soon as they leave - it all goes back to their way and not the Company way.

    I worked at Coldwater Creek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    PTO. Benefits until 2014. Some of the lower managers were great! Bu they soon left.

    Cons

    Upper Management ruined Sandpoint, Idaho. Stay away from any Upper Management affiliated with Coldwater Creek. Liars and thieves. Never listened to employees. But maybe that is what makes Upper Management.

    Advice to Management

    Listen. Do what you say. Do some forward thinking. Obviously you closed the doors for a reason and the minions are still feeling this pain! Very COLDwater!
