    Advice to Management

Be a little more involved in directing managing brokers on office ethics. It is need since sales agents becoming managers with little or no office experience/ ethics.

I worked at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

My boss at the time was very understanding and flexible when it came to personal matters. You get to work with a lot of different people- gained alot of skills and experience

    Cons

I asked for a raise on several occasions, denied each time except for once, it was only a $3K raise when it should've been atleast $5K+, I did a lot more than was required of me and was not compensated appropriately. I wouldn't recommend someone to get a job at this company.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, they have a different perspective and have suggestions that inevitably will help the office environment. A positive work place is key to good morale and productivity

I have been working at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great people, management has done the job you are doing so they "get it" national presense with great resources for you to useto help your clients.must be self motivated and directed. Recover fast from set backs and move on with new plan. Lots of variety. Rewarding to help people through a potentially stressful time and get them where they want to be!

    Cons

Commission is a tough life, in real estate 30% of income needs to go to taxes. You can never count on income from a sale until it closes. Many things could derail the sale, that are out of you and your clients control- job loss, divorce, huge repairs needed to foundation or plumbing or something you won't know up front etc...
Plan on working nights and weekends. You can't expect buyers and sellers to take time off work for contracts, they need that time to move. You will be guiding them through a stressful time, always answer their call/text, give bad news fast. Don't take it personally when they lash out in stress or frustration.

    Advice to Management

Have time for newer agents to help them write their first contracts, counter offers and repair requests. You can't count on otheragents to have free time to help. Make technology work, easily accesable on the go. Be positive and encouraging.
