I have been working at Coldwell Banker full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A lot of training and support, especially for new hires.

    Cons

As technology expands, CB is trying to stay on the cutting edge and jump in front of many other companies. The problem is, that with each of these expansions, there is a trickle down cost to the independent contractors (sales agents) in the company.

    Advice to Management

Stop increasing the amount of $$ taken form each agents profit. We spend so much time and energy on our clients, in the field with them and behind the scenes of transactions making sure we get from showing, to sale to close. I often feel like I make minimum wage when I add up the hours worked on a sale and look at the actual commission made.

I have been working at Coldwell Banker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Brand Awareness, allows you to get more business than with independent brand. Lots of the latest Technology tools to provide your clients the information necessary to make the best deal.
Because of the size of this company you get substantial discounts with 3rd party vendors.

    Cons

Initially you give up a large portion of your commission to the company but with successful sales volume you can take a larger portion of your commission and give less to the company.

    Advice to Management

Continue to provide the most up to date technology available in the industry and commission split should be better from the start.
